Read moreMost flavorful indian food in richmond area. The Food is always tasty here no matter what you get. They really take the time to prepare everything with good quality and it shows. This restaurant is like the best authentic indian food u can get in short pump and probably even in the richmond area. Its like going to the best cook in the village for dinner. The aroma of the food opens up your appetite immediately and you know it will be great tasting. Cut up onions and cilantro on top to garnish and give amazing flavor. fried onions on top the haleem. Everything has a distinct flavor and taste unlike other Indian restaurants where everything u order tastes like a slight variation of the other. Its so refreshing to see an indian restaurant that takes pride in having a genuine and honest establishment. They take obvious pride in the food they serve. They arent stingy on the amount of spices used And take time in the preparation unlike practically all of the other richmond and short pump indian restaurants and i have been to almost every one of them. This one is unlike every one i have been to. My only complaints i have is that i dont think the biryani i got a few weeks ago was fresh (i excused this because of covid times) and it spoiled quickly. It also was a small portion and didnt have enough rice in it so i had leftover just chicken with not enough rice. Also you never get enough rice with your order. Is rice such a high priced commodity? I would think thats a small price to pay to keep a customer. The service and amazing food and restaurant cleanliness are exceptional...
Read moreBest Indian food I had so far in Virginia. I tried 3 other Indian restaurants in Charlottesville area, they are all bland and tasted nothing like Indian food. We travelled all the way to Richmond area and tried Hyderabad Biryani House. The food is full of flavour and the buffet has many options to choose from. I personally love their Biryani, Naan, Goat Curry and Fruit Custard. The only thing lacking in their buffet for a full meal is Papad/Appadam but now, I am just being too picky. The waitress is very nice and helpful. I read the other reviews and I think people shouldn't be too critical of the owner, he doesn't seem to be fluent in English and sounds rude because of his lack of good communication skills. The only thing I do not like about the restaurant is they were using disposable plasticware, which is the only big flaw I did not like. I really wish they won't use plasticware for everyday buffet and I wish we lived closer to the restaurant so that we can eat...
