The Pacific Bay Steak & Seafood Restaurant — Restaurant in Virginia

So as promissed by the owner of the store since they messed up my order of a baked spegetti and sides and order of the Captin's Plater my order was $23.32 est and the food was messed up and by the time I came home i found out my food was wrong. well i drove all the way back down there that night and the MANAGER SAID THEY'D REPLACE THE WHOLE ORDER WHEN I CAME THREW NEXT. WELL YOU KNOW WHAT THEY SHUT DOWN MY REPLACEMENT AS THEY PROMISED AND EVEN PAID WITH A BANK CARD AND WHEN I CALLED IN BEFORE GOING TO GET MY REPLACEMENT THE WOMAN MANAGER SAID THE OWNER WASN'T EVEN THERE SO I COULD SPEAK WITH HIM. AS HE WAS THE PERSON THAT DEALT WITH ME AND HE EVEN SAID THAT HE COULDN'T REPLACE THE ORDER AS PROMISED. AS I WORKED IN THE FOODS BUSINESS FOR 13YRS I DO KNOW PROTOCOL AND THIS COMPANY FALLS THREW OF THEIR PROMISES AND NO MATTER IF YOUR ORDER IS MESSED UP FROM A FAST FOOD PLACE OR A 5 STAR RESTURANT COSTUMER IS ALWAYS RIGHT AND THE WOMAN MANAGER SAID THEY MESS UP ON CX'S ORDERS EVERY DAY AND IM JUST REALLY CONFUSED ON HOW A COMPANY CAN HAVE BUSINESS THIS WAY. THIS MANAGER SHOULD HAVE WRITTEN MY NAME AND THE ISSUE DOWN SO AS PROMISED I WOULD ABLE TO GET MY ORDER REPLACED AS PROMISED. I WENT HERE 1 TIME AND 1 TIME ONLY FOR THE CUSTOMER EXPERIENCE. I DO NOT RECOMEND THIS PLACE TO EAT AS THEY MESSED UP MY ORDER AND IF I KNEW THEY WERN'T GOING TO REPLACE IT I WOULD HAVE GOTTEN A REFUND...I REALLY DON'T EVEN WANT TO GIVE A 1 STAR RATING BUT I HAVE TO, TO POST MY COMMENT! :( BAD MANAGMENT AND TO SPEAK OF MY FOOD THE WHOLE CAPTINS PLATTER WAS SOGGY AND THE BAKED SPEGETTI DIDN'T HAVE THE GARLIC BREAD AND WE BOTH HAD COLE SLAW AND MY BF DIDN'T GET HIS AND I GOT 2 SPOONFULLS IN THE BIG CONTAINER THEY PUT IT IN WHEN IT WAS TO BE FULL AND NEVER GOT THE HUSH PUPPIES THAT I WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO. NEVER AGAIN I'D RATHER GO TO LONG JOHN SILVER'S ON THE OTHER SIDE OF TOWN.. AND THEY'D TREAT YOU AS CUSTOMERS IS ALWAYS RIGHT. SAD...

Service was exceptionally POOR but even worse, the food was literally floating in grease. My husband, 4 year old son, and I went in and gave this place another chance.... the first time we went, we waiting 30 minutes for our drinks and another 45 for our food.... this time the wait just for drinks was 15 minutes on a Tuesday night. There were approximately 5 other tables with customers seated. The food was floating in grease....literally. I ordered fried crab cakes. Yes, fried but not a hollow breading filled with grease once it's cut. I will enclose pictures. My husband ordered the captain's platter. $14 for a salad made with withered lettuce, 2 thin slices of tomato, and one slice of cucumber, and seafood dripping with grease from the deep fryer. All tasted the same....like grease. I will enclose a picture of that as well. We were both starving so we ate what we could stomach. The baked potatoes were decently cooked so we were able to eat those without the grease issue. We were both EXTREMELY sick the next day. My son was sick as well but he refused to eat much without us begging him to at least try. This experience was very disappointing and...

The issue here was the time of service for the cost. Seafood freshness was a zero. Fried Calimari was rubbery and soaked in oil not drained. Salad was good and fresh which was a benefit. I have to say after entertaining ourselves I heard the server ask cooks to fire my steak rare. I know in cooking a steak properly the customer would be satisfied. I have to say it was not and I did not want to wait another 30 minutes for replaced food. The issue was the way we were treated after trying to pay for a meal that should of been free. Due to the owners delusional explination. He should of been working the kitchen knowing he was short staff. This is now 2 time same resturant and different problems each time. I might be cold but I will never eat there again and if you are looking for good food especially what is supposed to be fresh I say go to Hardee's it least you get what you expect.
