Vinny's Italian Grill — Restaurant in Virginia

This was my first time at Vinny's and it was Friday night. They are open until 10:30. I've never been to any Vinny's and will not go again. As soon as we were given the menus, we were asked if we had decided on what we wanted. We hadn't even been asked if we wanted anything to drink yet.

I would have enjoyed the food except the server continuously came to our table every 5 minutes wanting to know if we wanted anything. We weren't even there 20 min when she asked me if I wanted a box! I hadn't even begun to eat. This is not an exaggeration. After less than 1 hr, we gave up trying to eat in peace and I asked for a box. We were given a check, but continued to have a conversation at the table. Then a different server came, extended his arm while holding a check and asked us if this were our check! We had ours at the table. He came back and said can you pay your check because the server needs to leave. Mind you, the restaurant was 3/4 full and it was now 8:15 pm. We were rushed from the moment we sat down at 6:45 pm until we walked out the door. If our server had to leave, then why would the manager seat us at that table?

I found this spot after needing a brrake from traveling from PA and hadn't had any meals in between. It was lunch time and not busy, so I was automatically seated which was very nice period I ordered a cheeseburger and the homemade chips came with it, and a raspberry tea period The food did not take very long to come out but I was expecting so much more period the bun was very hard as it was over toasted and the well done meat was overcooked and made it rubbery almost. The patties were definitely frozen. I also ordered cheesecake, which had a weird after taste. I asked for a Pepsi to go instead of the tea bc the tea okay, but I needed something stronger to finish my trip. I thought the beverages were refillable, but she charged me for two different drinks, so I guess not. Seemed a little odd and she could have told me. Service was okay, but she rushed to asked me if I wanted the check as soon as I finished instead of seeing if I wanted or needed anything else, which is when I ordered dessert. It wasn't busy! I'm not sure I'd go back because I probably couldn't find it again. I would say it served its purpose but I really didn't...

We stopped here last night for dinner with my family. We’ve been coming to Vinny’s since they opened and never had a bad meal or bad experience until last night! Everyone’s dinner was fine, large portions, great tasting too. Mine however was the worst seafood pasta I have ever eaten! The menu states, seafood pasta with scallops, shrimp, mussels, clams and crab meat. It comes or is supposed to come in a white wine cream reduction sauce. Mine came with Alfredo sauce! It was so much sauce it was drowning the dish! As far as the seafood, I got 4 mussels, two of them were not completely cooked as they were still closed. 4 shrimp which were good probably 3 or 4 scallops but I couldn’t tell as they were cut in small pieces to make it look like you got more.The crab meat looked a little strange and I figured out why.
