I could not even rate this place with 1 star for any of the categories, but I had to hit at least one star to post. This place needs to be reported to the Virginia Dept. of Health and I am just getting started. This establishment has the worst workers I have EVER encountered at a fast food joint. Apparently, this location is at 5050 Chesterfield Rd. seems to be a franchised opportunity for some folks who care more about lining their pockets than they do about customer service or cleanliness. They are either family or friends who decided to make a move with this but have no idea how to treat their customers. They do not adhere to following anything that a regular Wendy's would like honoring free burgers, Veterans Day, etc., trust me, I know. The folks that run this location are merely either trying to survive this deal that got themselves into or just plain greedy for the greenbacks. They are very rude, and disrespectful, and care nothing about having you waiting for long periods when you go inside to get service. Do yourself a favor and never go inside, it is disgusting, filthy, and disorderly. The food is not up to par. They slap your stuff together with no creative passion, love, or desire to please. They need to be SHUT DOWN and this is no exaggeration. Before these people took over this location, the service was decent, the inside was stocked, and clean, and the environment was family friendly. Now it's just a bad drive-through, nasty vibes, bad, sad fast food experience. I am a fan of Wendy's food, but these thieves with no experience in the industry have Wendy's looking bad right now and this is no joke. Someone needs to look into this location ASAP! I hope these people give up and find what their calling is, because running a fast food joint is not it! I will never, EVER give another dime to this location in this lifetime, these folks are not worthy of anyone's hard-earned money. Also, I would like to report this location for not honoring the free Dave's single for February. They looked at me like it was coming out of their pockets, they scanned the code on my phone and said it wasn't working. I had ordered about $12.00 worth of food and they still would not honor the free burger (very bad customer service). Freaking thieves! I should have left and went to McDonald's up the street. Then it hit me! I looked at who was working behind the counter and put 2 and 2 together and realized that this Wendy's was franchised (so I guess it was coming out of their pockets). Then I understood why this location was not honoring certain things that a "regular" Wendy's would honor. They think they can get away with this because they are a franchise and that is not right either. At the rate they are going and the way they choose to do business (which is not smart) they won't be there long. It would be nice to have that location back to how it used to be, with great customer service and business-minded people in operation, making it a welcoming and pleasant experience. To be able to sit down and eat in (with fresh, hot food) or have a nice drive-through experience without a lot of mess ups, instead of leaving and feeling like you just lost all...
Read moreSo, I decided to order Wendy's via Grubhub and I ran into trouble off the bat. As you know sometimes ordering via a delivery service can be a problem. Sometimes the menus don't match or the prices are wildly different. And sometimes it is hard to tell what goes with what. For example, I ordered a Medium Barbecue Chicken Sandwich Combo. And after telling them what I wanted on the chicken sandwich I had to pick the fries, tell them what I wanted on the fries, and also tell them I wanted Medium. But...wait...isn't this a medium combo? Then I picked a Diet Coke. When I got the recipe in my email the Diet Coke was listed as Small. Why? What does ordering a Medium Combo mean? Does the sandwiches come in small, medium, and large? I have not been to a Wendy's in awhile but I am sure that's NOT how that works. What's going on? While the Wendy's is pretty close to me the Grubhub drivers never seem to be. If I had a car I could make a killing just delivering in my condo. Anyway, they promised the order would get to me within a estimated time I didn't believe. Because nobody can drive that fast and not get killed on these roads. But the driver, in fact, made it in time! Without the drink. So....yeah. They also forgot the condiments (the ketchup and mayo) I ordered for the fries. Which were not even warm - must have been waiting around for a few hours. But, yeah, the burger was great. And I am never ordering from them again. Partly this mess up is Grubhub's fault - their drivers should check the order - but partly this is Wendy's fault. For the same amount of money I could have ordered from KFC, Taco Bell, or Pizza Pie Me and gotten twice as much food and the order would have likely been correct. 2 out of 5. Update - 2/21/2021 - Normally I would not order from this Wendy’s having done it once and being totally disappointed. But there was a REALLY nice discount on Grubhub for it. Free delivery AND a free sandwich. So I decided to go for it. I ordered a Baconator Combo and a Classic Jalapeno Popper Sandwich. For some reason the only choice for sides were small so I got a small Fries and a small Zero Sugar Coca-Cola It was delivered on time, though the Tracker showed that the driver had a hard time getting out of the parking lot, and was still warm. To be fair the small drink seemed more like a medium but the fries were disappointing, The Baconator was okay but I was impressed by the Popper Sandwich. You could taste the Jalapeno without it overwhelming the flavors. So this Wendy’s gains a star. Update - So, it had been years but ordered from them again. Fries were pretty good this time, the Ghost Pepper Ranch Chicken Sandwich was...okay. Are they sure they are using real Ghost Peppers? And the Dr. Pepper was,....well, a Dr. Pepper. And the Chocolate Chunk Cookie was nice and large. I think I should add another star. Update - Tried to order breakfast but they don't start delivery till 11am? So that's not...
Read moreI am leaving this review on Google and am planning on writing to corporate. Buckle up because this is going to be a long one. My friend and I came to this restaurant at about 11:45 and place two separate orders. We get to the window to pay and my friend hands the cashier her card. The cashier hands the card back to me and I hand her my card to pay for the second order. As the cashier took my card, she said $16.99. My total was 24.95, so I said wait, what did you say? The cashier looks at me, so once again, I said wait, what did you say. She closes the window some so at this point, I am thinking she cannot me hear and is on talking on her headset. So I yelled, wait what did you say? She comes back and asks for the card for the $16.99. I said neither of us have an order that is for 16.99. I look at my receipt, and she swiped my card for my friend’s order. I let her know that she used my card for the wrong order. I guess she couldn’t understand us. She goes to get her manager and the manager tells us that the first card declined. My friend politely lets her know that the cashier didn’t tell us. She looks at the cashier, the cashier didn’t say a word, unless they can communicate telepathically, and the manager says, “well she said she told you.” I chime in at that point and said, no, she didn’t say a word. I The manager then starts talking over me and asks, so who is paying for the second one? I said wait, the wrong order was paid for on my card. Then as we’re speaking, as second charge pops up from my bank, SHE CHARGED ME FOR TWO WRONG ORDERS. Neither order was mine. I let them know this and once again, the manager starts speaking over me, but this time she’s talking to the cashier in another language. At that point, I felt the confrontation getting escalated because my voice had went up a few octaves. I said you know what, refund it all. So the manager begins refunding me my money. She hands me two receipts, one of which, was never even charged on my card. I try do the right thing and tell her that she over-refunded me. But she was continuing to be rude and was yelling out the window. Not understanding that I’m trying to her that she gave me too much money. I just checked the account and saw my money back in my account, once I saw that it was there, I just told my friend to pull of. So we did. Just beware. The service here is absolute garbage. A language barrier was possibly an issue. I genuinely believe the cashier didn’t mean to make a mistake, English just wasn’t her first language and that shows because she honestly, really didn’t speak to us at all. The manager however, went straight to pointing the finger and...
