When the manager there this place is really hopping, but when she's gone everything goes to crap. I eat there all the time. My wife and I stopped by the other day, went in to eat, and they were all over the place. It took them forever to get the food out, and when it did come out it was not piping hot, like it usually is, so it had been sitting there a while so it had been sitting there a minute. My fries were lukewarm, were soft and not crunchy at all. I'd ask for them to be made with no salt or seasoning so they should have been hot and fresh. We ordered something simple, I always order the six finger plate, and my wife ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. They forgot my slaw, when the lead or young manager looked at it he said they didn't have it on the ticket. My response was isn't it supposed to come with it. Is this something I have to ask for special? It's on the picture.... he replied no I will get you some...We also ordered fried dill pickles and they came out extremely overcooked dry crunchy and hard. I asked for them to be replaced and they weren't much better, not to mention they were extremely salty and tasted like they had been cooked in old grease. I ended up throwing them away because I didn't figure they could do any better and I wasn't going to go through the pain of her trying to get a five-dollar refund... I will never do that again. Although, I have to add everyone was very nice which is why I did give them three stars. Maybe they were just having a bad day.... while I was ordering a couple of people came in saying that they were missing food that they had ordered. The young lady who took our order was on point, although she didn't add the slaw to the ticket, she was trying her best to make sure the orders were correct. Being proactive getting the sauces ready for other orders. Some of the other young ladies I saw are walking around looking Clueless. There was a young guy there who was a lead or an assistant manager or something trying to make everything right. I kind of felt bad for him. It's bad when you have some who care about working, and the others don't give a crap which makes it hard on those who do. Intentional or weaponized incompetence makes it hard on those who actually will work... so sick of seeing this and...
Read moreI go to this location for lunch pretty often as I work in Midlothian and there’s almost never a wait. I usually order from the app and pick up from the drive-thru and my order’s always correct.
I had a coupon on the app for bogo free chicken sandwich meal so I ordered that. The person at the speaker said they were waiting on the sandwiches, which was fine. They told me the same thing at the window and asked me to come in. I went inside and waited a couple minutes before I got my food and drinks.
I almost made it out of the parking lot before someone from the restaurant called me back to tell me the sandwiches they gave me were not fully cooked. Luckily, I hadn’t bitten into the sandwiches yet, nor had I gotten far from the restaurant. circled back and waited another 5 minutes or so and got my food.
Not only did they replace my two sandwiches without asking for the others back, but another person offered some free cookies, AND they threw in some more fries. On top of this, an associate I assume was the manager gave me two vouchers for any free meal and thanked me for coming back.
Unfortunately, I didn’t get anyone’s name as I was now running late to get back to work, but I had to commend the staff on their excellent service and generosity. Food service is rough work under ideal circumstances, but the last couple years have been especially trying. As I said, I’ve never had any issues at this location, and the way the staff handled this one shows they are all very adept at their jobs and care about the...
Read moreI had never eaten at Zaxby's before Sunday 1/26/20. I was looking forward to eating here after hearing all the praise and seeing the reviews of the food. Instead of a long review, I will get straight to the point.
I get that Zaxby's is a fast food joint......so is Chick-Fil-A, and Zaxby's is no Chick-Fil-A. The restaurant was only a week old and it reminded me of a Burger King......stuff on the floor and tables that were sort of cleaned. The condiment station was cramped and dirty. it felt like it was 10 years old.
I had the chicken sandwich, and it was OK. Chick-Fil-A and Popeyes chicken sandwiches were miles ahead of the sandwich I had. it didn't taste bad, it was just kind of .....eh. The fries were good, could have cooked for 30 seconds longer, but that's nit picking.
It wasn't busy.....I was there at 2 in the afternoon, so things should have been straightened up and cleaned.
If Zaxby's management happenes to read this, Chick-Fil-A is 5 minutes down the road, swing by there and watch how...
