Hotel Fortney Lounge — Restaurant in Viroqua

The lounge has a cozy, upscale feel with warm lighting and eclectic décor. Cocktails were excellent, and the food from Noble Rind and Driftless Café was fantastic. Unfortunately, the service was extremely poor.

When we arrived, only a couple of tables were full, yet it took nearly 15 minutes before our server returned to take our order. Our pizza with a small substitution took 1 hour and 45 minutes to arrive, and the change wasn’t even entered at all. The waitress blamed it on the driftless cafe but the receipt did not show the substitution was entered. As the lounge filled, things fell apart—tables went unserved, guests had to go to the bar to order, and several people got up to leave. Even after asking for the check, our server helped two other tables first.

Great food and atmosphere, but the lack of organization and attention completely ruined...
