Tangled Hickory - Full Bar - Food - Game Room — Restaurant in Viroqua

First off the food was exceptional ( the shrimp tacos were fresh and Flatbreads flavorful. But that unfortunately was the only thing that made par. Im not sure what the atmosphere they are trying to trying to achieve there. You walk in and its decorated like a fancy wine bar. Upon first glance it's fine. Then you see the busch lights in with the wine. There was country music playing most of the night. And their drink list looks like it should be at a tiki bar. Because of the blended drinks and extensive cocktails, it took quite a long time to even get serviced. They were understaffed (with only one person working on a Saturday night). I get being understaffed with covid, but may I suggest narrowing down the drink menu as to help the bartender have more time for the guests, and maybe bring the cohesiveness of the bar together during these...

Food was terrible. BBQ Pulled pork came with side of BBQ nothing actuallyin the pork. Tasted like KC masterpice BBQ. Tacos sucked no flavor. It was like salad and some nasty no flavor meat. No spice. No jalapeños as stated in the menu. Chips and forgot the salsa. WAY TO OVER PRICED. This is not a fine dinning place. As we sat there someone had pizza hut delivered. This should have been our sign to finish the drink we had and leave. Was much more like a game room with bad food. Two of us had a total of a $60 bill and i was hard pressed to leave any tip. Service was terrible. I had to take the bill the watress gave me back to the bar to verify it went though as she did not bring me a copy to sign and add tip. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND! GO FIND A DIVE...

A very relaxing atmosphere here. A fair selection of wines and craft beer. The choices for draft beer is rather limited, however. We were here for an after work drink and appetizers (which were rather good), so I cannot comment on the rest of the menu. The Game Room area has a pool table, foosball table, darts, and a couple of video games, along with some couches and upholstered seating areas. There is a juke box available for tunes.
