In the past month (since my original review) the business has changed. The menu, food (how its made), branding (still Filiberto's), prices, and staff have all changed. Fili's has been my go to for years, so it is sad for me to have to say this.
Tonight (3/5/19), I purchased two burritos, carne asada fries, and rolled tacos. There was perhaps two tbsp of guacamole on the fries and they were cold, the rolled tacos had even less guacamole than the fries, and the chicken burrito, while it was not what I ordered (mistakes happen, shredded can be confused with asado), the grilled chicken was cold enough to have come from the fridge.
The prices have also changed quite a bit. You could get a shredded chicken burrito for $6.99 before. Now, it's $10 bucks out the door. That's a pretty expensive burrito, in my opinion. Then to get the wrong thing and all of it be stone cold is saddening. This isn't the first time this has happened.
I don't write negative reviews. I give a 2 star and move on. After several times of this happening, I've decided other people should be aware of where Fili's has gone. Your experience may not be like mine--it can't be bad every time, right? I'd like to think it was just poor luck I've gotten bad (expensive) food several times in a row, and I certainly hope it does not happen to...
Read moreI used to be satisfied with the food and service here. NOT ANYMORE. The food has become complete slop. My California burrito was cold, the cheese was not even a bit melted, the pico was all onion with about 5 pieces of tomato and there was no guacamole. I asked to add sour cream, in fact I ask for it every time, and IT IS NEVER ON THERE. (I took one bite and threw it away. What a waste of money.) My last two orders of carne asada fries have been burnt, with barely any toppings. At least 75% of the time when I ask for a large drink they give me a meduim yet charge me for a large. And don't even think about requesting no ice, it won't happen. There has been one employee that I really liked, and he provided GREAT service. Everyone else is unfriendly and dismissive. Customer satisfaction is clearly not on the menu at this place.
10/28/16 Tried this place one more time due to hunger and it being so close to my house. They forgot my order for rolled tacos entirely. My carnitas taco and pollo asada taco were 85% fat. So unappetizing to look at. What wasn't fat was too hard and overcooked to eat. Me and my husband gave up. Money...

The food tastes like cardboard.
You will NOT find Real Mexican Food here. This is CHEAP carnival food and is like eating cardboard with hot sauce on it.
This is the worst "Mexican" food I have ever eaten in my lifetime. It is an embarrassment and is NOT authentic. All the food is very bland. The cheapest ingredients they could find at a grocery store.
Tortillas are stale and hard to cut through. The churro's are also stale, hard and flakey trash.
The enchilada was dripping with pools of grease, it was disgusting, I took one bite. The bean and cheese burrito was very hard to cut through, I can't imagine digesting this garbage.
They also thought I ordered an extra single burrito which I did not. It looked like a burrito but was actually just strips of tortilla's rolled up to look like a burrito. Take a look at the photos, it's bizarre. So they are basically a failed establishment that is hurting and clearly trying to rip people off for extra money.
I hope they go out of business so we can replace it with Authentic, real food.
