(Update: we put a dispute on our credit card...owner is fighting it. In their argument to our bank, they told our bank that they tried to contact us about the order, several times. Note that in the initial owner response to my original post, no mention of trying to contact us. We can easily go to cell phone records to look for missed calls that did not happen. So in a situation where restaurant was not answering their phone all day, and has no voice mail set up, was closed on a day that their stated business hours said they would be open, they told our bank that we should be responsible for the charge because they tried to contact us. Pretty ironic. Again, Beware of Using This Establishment for Catering. )
Beware of catering. We ordered from this restaurant a few days in advance for a New Years Eve gathering for about 15 people. They charged our credit card, but when we showed up on New Years Eve the restaurant was closed. The restaurant was dark and no one answered the phone. We had to scramble last minute to order food somewhere else for our party. No sign on the door, no message on the phone, just closed.
To owner response: we had no way to know you would make this order since you were closed when we went over a few times during the day. We could not leave a message (we tried calling several times) and no one answered the phone. You also did not tell us you would be closed that day and and you never called us to tell us the order was ready. We had no choice but to assume you would not make the order, and had to scramble last minute to order from...

It is situated in what seemed like a calm shopping mall in the middle of Vista. I was immediately impressed by the thick chips and salsa! I ordered the two fish taco plate. I have had multitudes of grilled fish tacos throughout SD and SoCal. What has made this one of my favorite? It's in the tortillas that they use. The two-tortillas used in the tacos are either hand made or freshly purchased as they were not just delicious, but held the contents of the taco without falling apart. The chunks of grilled swai were complimented by the cheese, pico de gallo and habanero salsa that I added. My party also ordered a shrimp tostada, pescado a la plancha, and enchiladas which were...

The Siete Mares soup was just fabulous and less spicy as a dine in entree. It came with lots of toppings and four varieties of hot sauce on the table, so you could spice it up and taylor to your taste as desired.
This little family-run restaurant is not too far from our home off Shadowridge and was almost empty as we sat down to eat before 6:00. But shortly thereafter a few customers stopped in for takeout and then 15 golfers filed into the restaurant after the 18th hole for a delicious sit down meal with sports playing in the background.
Really, something for everyone with an outside dining option....
