We chose Elena Wu's for our reception lunch with our wedding party. It was fantastic! Kenny did a wonderful job of working with us in providing meals that appeased everyone's dietary choices. We were able to have vegetarian dishes and meat dishes. He and his staff also supported us in accommodating my 99 year old grandmother who has a wheelchair/walker. The food was incredible. Friends and family from China, Norway, Puerto Rico, New York City, Vermont, New Jersey, and New Hampshire all raved about it. By the time my husband and I went to take any left overs from the tables there weren't any. The staff at Elena Wu's were amazing! They even spoke with my husband in Chinese, which he appreciated. They did an excellent job checking in to make sure everyone was happy and well served. They supported us in uncorking our wine and champagne, as well as helping us to cut and serve our cake. We would highly recommend Elena Wu's to those wishing to treat their loved ones with a special meal. It is a wonderful place for celebrations or events. The atmosphere is fantastic! They even offer screens that played a slideshow of moments with my husband and I before we were married. We are all so very grateful for everything that Elena Wu's offered. We hope that others can also have the pleasure of enjoying special moments at their wonderful...
Read moreWe ordered aroun 4:45. Hubby picked up the dinner. It just wasn't that good. We ordered the shrimp won ton soup. The noodles we mush, the shrimp filling was good and the broth was so so. Ordered the spring rolls, wasn't impressed at all. Very greasy even after we out them in the air fryer to heat up. Ordered the grandfather's chicken, that was the best thing we got and I don't eat it. Also ordered a large beef lo mein and a vegatable fried rice. We ended up with a large vegetable lo mein and small beef lo mien. The noodles in the vegetable lo mein were good. Not so many vegetables though. The noodles in the beef lo mien were mushy. So over all not happy with my $63 purchase at all. We have been going to Elana wus since she was on route 70 in Marlton. We always had great service and food there. When they opened in Voorhees we went once to the new place, right after they opened and found their prices very expensive so we haven't gone back in years. Today trying thier take out reminds me why I won't be going back. Too much $$ for not so good food. I'll return to our other restaurant for our chinese fix. Even though it's farther away the food is consistent, alot...
Read moreWe’ve been loyal weekly customers of Elena Wu for years—the food was always spot on. From the vegetable dumplings to the ginger salad, everything was delicious. But since Elena stepped away and Kenny took over with a new front desk woman, the entire experience has gone downhill fast.
Let me be clear—Kenny is professional and kind. No complaints there. But the woman at the front desk? Absolutely dreadful. Cold, rude, and completely lacking in basic hospitality. We've seen her treat other customers the same way, and we've had enough.
You can’t run a restaurant on great food alone. When the first face your customers see makes them feel unwelcome, they don’t come back. It’s not just us—look at the reviews! People have been screaming this from the rooftops, and yet, nothing’s changed. “Retrain the front desk staff”? Come off it. You can’t train heart and decency into someone who just doesn’t give a damn.
It’s heartbreaking to walk away from meals we used to crave—but no food is good enough to excuse bad treatment. Get it sorted, Kenny. Or lose what made this...
