Ninja Express — Restaurant in Wabash

There are MAJOR issues here. One the building is falling apart inside and out and the owners don’t seem to care.Two the staff seem half awake. They answer everything with a nearly in decipherable mutter. In fact one worker was sleeping at the front right behind the cash register. Three, and this is a big one, the awkwardness. There is an unbearable silence the entire time you eat here. There is zero music playing. And while you chow down the guy at the front desk will likely be watching you and over hearing your conversation. Four, the cleanliness. Our table was sticky. We wanted to try a local place for a quick bite. The clerk was friendly enough. They had to take our cards to another room to run the charges. There's no fountain drinks, it is broken so everything is in a small fridge. The decor was fun. There's a turtle at the counter in a way too small aquarium! We got bento boxes and tempura vegetables. The coating tasted like pancake batter and they need to change the oil in their deep fryer. The rice is weird, flavorless and inedible. California roll was decent enough but they fell apart and had to eat with a spoon. I’m not one who usually gives mediocre reviews to people or places but….The food was alright, food service wasn’t, not very friendly or talkative at all, the atmosphere was pretty as in visually, but everything was quiet inside, not very upbeat music. I felt quite uncomfortable eating there inside the building. The staff was very quiet and not that friendly yet between the two of them they had been suspiciously giggling to each other throughout the whole time I was there, which I thought was weird and looking at me.
