8/12/2018 At The Fried Egg.....other people may have had a great experience at The Fried Egg, but I'd like to tell you about ours. We had 12 people in our party. It was a buffet on Sunday. Only 4 people ordered the buffet. Eight people ordered from the menu. We waited over an hour for our food. The waitress disappeared for long periods of time. When we asked her what was taking so long, she simply said she didn't know and that they were short a person in our seating area. She had no explanation for the food, but she could've been filling our drinks. Most of us were waiting on food so we did drink more...but only after we sent someone to ask for refills. We had two children in our party, ages 5 and 7. The seven year old actually became so hungry that she started crying. One of our party said that it would have been nice if management would have come to our table and at least offered a complimentary trip to the salad bar since we had been waiting so long for our food. We didn't make our thoughts known because we aren't accustomed to asking for hand outs. I understand when restaurants are busy and are short of help, but I wonder if they realize that some people are diabetic and that it's difficult for little children to wait so long to eat. Well...the waitress brought our food. Two people had ordered eggs and she said that the eggs overcooked while sitting under the heat lamp and that she would bring eggs cooked over easy. She never returned with the eggs. Dishes weren't removed from the table the way they should have been. I think a couple of people in our party had to go ask for take out boxes when they were ready to leave. At the end of the meal people are asked to pay full price, even though they've been given less than satisfactory service. It was just a poor experience all the way around. The bill for 12 people was quite large but the manager did adjust the bill by $5 for the poor service...Which actually, was an insult. I just might have been satisfied with a salad for each guest because everyone was so famished in the hour we waited. Needless to say, if I were the manager, I would have gone out of my way to make sure that 12 people returned and had a chance to experience better service. This was the second time I'd been in the new location. The first time was with one friend. So...my opinion is that they do better with small groups. Large groups...beware. I don't think I'll ever be going back there with a large group of people again. I believe in giving a good review where one has been earned...but...

The food was alright, overpriced for the quality I felt. But the waitress was HORRIBLE. I arrived about 7 minutes before my sister and nephew arrived. The waitress came over immediately and asked my order, I said I wanted to wait to order until my entire party arrived She proceeded to ask me 3 more times (a total of 4 times) within 7 minutes if I was ready to order and I had to keep repeating to please wait. My sister arrived and the waitress came over 5 more times within a 5 minute period and kept asking us over and over and over if we were ready to order. It was way too pushy to be asked a total of 9 times in a 12 minute period. We got our food and it was wrong. Wrong potatoes, and forgot items. Then I asked the waitress if I can order food to go for my husband. I placed my order and got the check....and the check was wrong and she tried to overcharge us for items that should have been included in the childs meal. She corrected it and then with giant arm movements asked us to wait in the waiting area for our food instead of us drinking coffee and enjoying eachothers company at the table we were already at. I said no, Im not paying before I even get my food. We got it finally, and I went up to pay and I told the cashier about what was happening and the waitress snuck up and started screaming at me. I told her to calm down and her behavior was inappropriate. But we will never be back. Waitress was so desperate to flip tables that she obviously wanted us out and it made everything super uncomfortable. Wont be going back. Plus their food is way overpriced, what kind of restaurant doesn't have fries with their burgers and wants to charge $3 extra for fries? Nickle and...

The Fried Egg Restaurant and Cafe has been a place we have wanted to visit for awhile now. We finally went for brunch and had some breakfast dishes! The menu easily has a hundred options for breakfast and lunch.

Portions are large and are definitely shareable for those looking for lighter fare. Pretty typical breakfast food. We got French fries instead of hash browns and it was free of charge. Great French fries for French fries enthusiasts! Thicker cut.

Quality of food was average but definitely more home style than Denny's or IHOP.

Our server was very amiable and had a"customer is right" attitude. The kitchen staff cooked my order incorrectly, putting gravy on the top instead of on the side and our server took it back in without complaint. When she brought out the re made omelette, the gravy was on the side but there was American cheese instead of the cheddar cheese that I had asked for. Kitchen staff mistake, not server mistake.

Great facilities! New and rather clean. Roomy atmosphere and not too noisy or echoey. There seemed to have also been a separate party room or something.

Three stars for average food, clean atmosphere, very good customer service and...

My mother and my three children met with me at The Fried Egg for lunch/brunch. The food was cooked exactly as ordered and tasted great. I will not attempt to rate each meal. I know that three of us had breakfast and two went with lunch. We were happy with our choices and did not leave hungry. Ready for a nap but not hungry. The atmosphere was casual, and our server was fun, upbeat, and pleasant. As she was handing out our plates of food; She took the time to assist me with snapping a few pictures of my family. *Edit* It has been approximately one month since our first visit mentioned above. We have eaten there three times now. We are always satisfied with the service and the food is good. It is always busy for the standard lunch and dinner times but the hostess always finds us a seat. The girls are on top of it and never keep you waiting. Good Jobs gals Jeff, Levi, Kayla, Thomas, and Linda (Mom)

Service was awesome, Ugalde's omelet was great. I ordered the omelet with bacon grits, crispy hash browns and a biscuit. The biscuit was a hamburger bun with butter on top... The hash browns were... mushy. And I never did get the bacon. They did remake the hash browns and they were literally charred on the edges and still mushy. 🤦🏻‍♂️ And they replace the hamburger bun with sourdough toast... The toast was great. Robin, my waitress, worked very hard to try and correct everything and was one of the few shining stars in this experience. They did not charge me for the bacon 🙄 and gave a small discount for the hash brown combo. Plenty of other places for me to try next time I'm in Wabash. I won't be back to The Fried Egg.

My group had just finished up a triathlon in Huntington, so we were starving, and almost everything in that town was closed. Came out here as a last resort and it was worth the trip! We've since some a few times. The kids meals are rather impressive in quantity (I think most places under estimate how much kids eat). The portions were large enough to satisfy our big appetites. Service was good, the place is large and can accommodate big parties, and they have a decent variety to their menu. The coffee was weak, so I'd probably pass on that next time.
