Baskin-Robbins — Restaurant in Waco

Update from March 2024

My most recent visit to this Baskin-Robbins was a breath of fresh air! There were so many flavor choices and my favorites were available! The doors were locked when we arrived, but the employee came running to unlock them. She said that their online system was down, but she would check to see if they were back up and running so she could take care of us. All was back to normal, so this experience went off without a hitch! The employee was extra friendly and kind. I am elevating my review to 4 stars for all areas.

January 2024 Review The main issues with this location are lack of staffing and poor management of ice cream flavors. I’m basing my review on an accumulation of experiences. In the past, have apologized for being slow due to staffing issues. It is typical to have to request multiple flavors through the drive through because our requested flavors are not in their case. Today, they literally had NINE flavor choices in their case. Baskin-Robbins is supposed to be the home of 31 flavors…why is this not the case with this location?!? It’s so sad. I really want this location to thrive! Get it together, y’all!

I am writing this review on my experience with the gentleman that served us ice cream tonight 7/8/2021. His name is Silver. Before me and my hoard of 5 came in, he was serving another family that requested soooo much ice cream. This dude had a smile on his face the entire time. Even being out of ice cream to go cup lids! He was honest, pure and respectful - and took on the next customer like he was serving Santa Claus himself. When we were next in line we asked for samples and just ended up ordering pints for everyone since there were no lids to the togo ice cream cups. Silver was so patient and kind and even made us laugh. This site has a bad reputation for always being out of stock or just rude customer service - but the encounter we had with Silver tonight changed it 100%. The saying isn't true.. We went through the drive through in the evening on 5-31. I ordered one scoop in a waffle cone and my wife ordered 2 kiddie scoops in a waffle bowl. We ordered in the drive through and the girl repeated the order back wrong. No big deal. That happens. I corrected her and we pulled up to the window. When we pulled up the girl didn’t remember what two ice creams my wife ordered so we told her again and she handed me my order and it was wrong. I ordered mine in a waffle cone and she handed it to me in a regular bowl. So she just handed me a waffle cone. 🙄 The waffle cone was so stale it was chewy. The girl could barely keep her eyes open when she was talking to us through the window. Literally. Hate to accuse anyone of anything …..but it certainly seemed like she was on something.
