Worst place ever, totally ignoring customers sitting at the bar, definitely not coming back if patrons are going to be disrespected like this. At first it was great, served immediately, however after finishing 1st round we had to wait around 10 minutes, we were sitting at the bar and one of the bartenders, bald with a moustache and tattoos was attending the 2 parties beside us and totally ignored us multiple times, he clearly saw our 4 empty glasses in front of him while he washed the dirty glasses infront of us. Another bartender arrived and we thought "finally someone is serving us", he got our order (1 glass of wine, 1 beer and 2 waters) so he got the waters and the wine, then I had to wait 10 minutes for the beer because he served it and there was some foam, so he left it there waiting for the foam to go down, he started serving other customers and then 10 min later he remembered that he had my beer waiting there and served the rest, when I finally got my beer it wasn't cold anymore, waste of time and beer. If you think that was the end, it got worse. We finished the 2nd round and ready for the check after this terrible experience, our 4 empty glasses at the bar, that should give a hint to the bartenders that we needed attention, another 10 minutes went by and all 3 bartenders ignored us completely, serving other guys beside us and people that arrived later at the bar, we had to tell a bartender (the same one, bald with a moustache and tattoos) that we wanted the check and I told him we've been waiting for 10 minutes for someone to help us, that they have been totally ignoring us while serving others right beside us, he said he had multiple tables at the back and I answered not just him but all the other bartenders too. Then he came back with the check and he said, if you feel you aren't getting the service you need, speak up, to what I said, that's your job, not mine. You are a bartender and you are being paid to do your job which is to serve customers at your bar. I'm a customer and I'm sitting at your bar and I'm not being served so you are not doing your job, it's pointless and rude to tell me that as a customer I'm not getting your attention and blame me for getting bad service from you, really? Terrible place.

We had reservations at 10 am, got seated right away, drinks came very promptly. Diet coke lost a majority of its carbonation, bloody Mary was tasty but NOT worth 10 dollars. Initial order of donut holes came out with incorrect amount. No drink refills by 11am. Food order was taken promptly, and it took OVER 2 hours to get the food. 2 and a quarter to be exact. MIND YOU WE HAD RESERVATIONS, and everyone else got their food before we did.I wish I was kidding... at 1215 It came out, and everything was the correct order...BUT was missing one sausage kolache. The donut order for one kiddo straight up looked like they were donuts from HEB and cost 6 dollars! breakfast burgers were beyond inconsistent. One was almost dried out it was cooked so much, one was rare and one was medium rare. The burgers were cold and underseasoned, and two of the eggs were still jiggly and clear and not cooked per stated on the menu. None had hollandaise sauce, one burger legitimately had a less than 2 inch strip of bacon on it,another had one just flung on and almost not even tucked into the bun as a whole.the chips that came with it were just straight from a bag and nothing to write home about. Potato casserole was horrifying, and looked like store bought "simply potatoes" just boiled in milk. Everything seemed to just be thrown together and on the plates... lastly, There was an order of shrimp and grits in our group as well, and they were so thick and dry they had to be eaten with a fork. Had no drink refills at this point either...actually none at all! By this point, alot of us were famished, and ate because we had already been waiting over 2 hours, and were beyond frustrated. Two of us had children and it was difficult to keep having to explain to them we were still waiting. There was also no changing table in the women's bathroom. Waiter was extremely apologetic, but could have been more attentive. I think overall this establishment cannot handle anythung more than a table or two crowd wise, and needs more staffing and kitchen training for the execution and plating.

Very disappointing. Barnett's has been one of our weekend go-to spots for years, but it seems to have gone down over the past months. One, if you want a real lunch, don't bother showing up before two in the afternoon, as it's a brunch menu only. I know everyone has different likes, but for me, I want an actual lunch by one in the afternoon. On this occasion, my wife finally got up and got us napkins. We later had to get up and ask for silverware. I had to ask for water three times! We ordered two menu items. I had completely finished the first item before the second one even showed up. We ended up having five people waiting on our table in some fashion. No one was rude. To the contrary, most were very nice, but they were also very innatentive. The lady who took our order later walked by us at least three times without so much as a glance toward our table. This is not a big place, it's hard to completely ignore the tables as you walk by. It seems like maybe they've had a change in management. Whatever the issue, things have gone down hill. We've always liked Barnett's, and we want to keep liking it. You can't beat their whiskey selection, and the food has always been good, but we're about to the point of finding a new weekend spot. Sad.
