Breakfast Burritos That Hit the Spot—Every. Single. Time. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
If you’re craving a solid, no-frills breakfast that actually fills you up and tastes amazing, Roberto’s Taco Shop is the place to be. We rolled through for breakfast and left with happy bellies and zero regrets.
I had the chorizo breakfast burrito, and it was everything I wanted—spicy, savory, and packed with eggs, cheese, and just the right amount of grease to remind you it’s the real deal. The tortilla was soft, warm, and held up like a champ from first bite to last.
My wife had the bacon breakfast burrito, and she couldn’t stop talking about how good the bacon was—crispy, flavorful, and not overly salty like you get at some spots. The eggs were fluffy, the cheese was melty, and the whole thing just worked.
Service was quick, portions were generous, and the prices? More than fair for how much food you get. Whether you’re heading to work, recovering from the night before, or just want a breakfast that doesn’t mess around—Roberto’s delivers.
We’ll definitely be back for round two. Might even try the carne asada next time… if I can resist...
Read moreFirst time here for lunch with my husband and while the burritos appear small, they are VERY filling.
I used the ladies room and it looked like someone vomited at some point and only basic cleaning was done to make it somewhat useful.
The toilet bowl was stained and lined red stuff, the sink was dirty and the trash was overly full. Maybe it was left from the night shift as we arrived for lunch at 1130.
The eating area had dirty tables that needed to be wiped down from previous customers eating and one area had wasted food just sitting on the floor.
Now on to the food.
The green sauce (they serve you with large sauce bottles vs little 1 oz containers) is wonderful. I had the shrimp burrito and my husband had the asada and hot carrots.
He loved his food.
I thought the burrito was ok, but I'm sure my thoughts were focused on the cleanliness of the establishment.
Assuming this was just an off day for them and willing to give them another try.
Hopefully cleanliness improves. Each burrito was around...
Read moreSo glad we heard about this place from a friend who knows we are from California. We have been searching high and low for decent Mexican food since we moved to Waco w/no success. This place is based out of San Diego and there are many places like this that are a staple for a quick burrito or nachos as most have drive thrus. Especially the breakfast burritos. Our families favorites are the chorizo breakfast burrito and the famous California burrito which has French fries and carne asada (which is hard to come by in Waco). The food is not fast food. Burritos are good size and everything else tasted good. Loved the pickled carrots which were fresh and homemade. If you are craving Mexican food and are from California you will not regret it. Or if you just want to try Mexican food not from Texas you will be...
