So I took the dive into trying Crumbl Cookies. Before I went, I looked at the menu online and I was stunned to see one chocolate chip cookie cost $5.99!! “One cookie costs that much?” I asked myself. So I just had to go down there to ask why one cookie costs so much: Was it because it’s made with cocaine? Or were they imported from China with a 3000% Tariff?? I just had to find out, and when I arrived, things started making a little more sense. Their $5.99 cookies are huge! I measured 4.5” diameter and 1/2” thick. So while I think that’s still a little pricey, I no longer thought it to be outrageous, so I begun my order.
The ordering process requires you to use touch screen computers. They do not allow you to order the traditional way with an employee hitting the buttons. So, if it’s flu season, or if you’re just a germaphobe, this place isn’t for you unless you order off your phone. They do not offer hand sanitizer as a compromise. Aside from that, the ordering process is pretty quick and simple. I do not recommend ordering a couple hours before close, as the cookie selection becomes slim pickings. I went there an hour before close and only had three different cookies to choose from, so that was pretty disappointing. However, I do understand they sell cookies baked fresh daily, so they must mitigate keeping cookies overnight. So with that in mind, the only solution I see is to not order there at all when it’s hours before close.
The employees there are busy, but they’re very friendly. They check with you to ensure the cookies look good and they’re happy to rectify any concerns you have. I saw them go above and beyond with a customer before me who I thought was pretty demanding, but they handled the customer well and had them leave happy. The service there is five stars in my opinion.
The cookies themselves, well, I tried 2 out of the 3 options I had available to me: Khloe’s Cookies & Cream and the Chocolate Chip cookie. Khloe’s Cookies & Cream was great and the Chocolate Chip was just good. Khloe’s cream mousse compliments the rich chocolate cookie very well. That’s a cookie meant for you to eat now rather than save for later. The chocolate chip cookie tastes like a chocolate chip cookie, but it does taste better than what’s offered at the grocery store bakery. Crumbl also keeps the cookies in a warmer, so the chocolate chips are gooey when you eat it, so that’s a plus.
Overall, the prices are a little steep, the customer service is great, their selection is slim at night, the cookies are huge & taste good, and I’d avoid the touchscreens if norovirus is going around. I think this is a place I’d come back to for the occasional sweet craving. I recommend you give them a try and see...
Read moreThe customer service that I received tonight was highly disappointing! I spend my hard earned money at this particular store on a weekly basis because of my kids. However, your store screwed up my door dash order tonight, I ordered 3 cookies for 3 children and because they were out of what I wanted they sent me what they had and only one cookie, which presented a problem when they arrived. The store did not notify the dasher or myself of a change or give me the opportunity to request a refund. Bella stated that the driver didn’t speak English however with all this technology that is not an excuse. I’m certain Bella owns a phone and can use Google translate or another similar app. After speaking with Bella, who stated she was team lead 🫣🙄 I see that your staff needs more customer service training. At least she does! She was rude and unprofessional in speaking about the stores mistake. She failed to take accountability and did not make anything right. We managed to have a decent conversation because I do have customer service skills and am able to control the conversation. She on the other hand was raising her voice and attempting to speak over me. After the conversation was coming to an end, she hung up the phone in anger! lol Please train your...
Read moreWelcome to Wake Forest. Glad you decided to be a part of the neighborhood. My Mom had been telling me a location was coming. But, every time I visited NC, the store had not opened. But, good things take time. Our first visit went well. I was greeted as soon as we entered the store. The manager (staffer) was friendly and asked key questions…Was this our first time; Did we need help with ordering; Does our order look Ok. So, overall it was a good visit. However, I am deducting half of a star because one of the ordering kiosk was down. Luckily the store wasn’t super crowded. We are deducting another 1.5 stars because one of the flavors we ordered was not good. We are hoping this was just a bad batch of the Dark Dream cookie. Both my Mom and I thought the same…something didn’t taste right. It wasn’t about preference, the cookie actually taste bad! Now, let me end this review on a high note. Both the Carrot Cake and Apple Pie were home runs. You won’t regret trying these two flavors. Also, you may try the Dark Dream and have a better experience. All in all, we will definitely visit again…just won’t order the Dark...
