Rudino's Heritage — Restaurant in Wake Forest

We have visited this location a ton of times and the service is always pretty good and the food usually is as well. During the pandemic I was told by a manager that they switched distributors for their wings due to the chicken wing shortage and the price had gone up a bit but the wings got much smaller so we stopped going up to Rudino’s. One day we decided to give them another shot and they had surprisingly switched back to the bigger juicier wings, they were still market price but I’m ok with that so long as the wings are decent. We stopped back in the other night and ordered 30 wings and they are back to being small again. We had to ask for extra sauce because wings that small dry out much quicker. These small wings are not worth the price and we probably won’t be back unless they switch back, it’s a shame because the rest of the food is pretty good and their wings sauces are all really good too. So just an FYI before you make the plunge, these are not the same size wings like you would normally get from somewhere like Over The Falls, Pickled Onion, or Ale House in the area. Which is a shame because Rudino’s wings were honestly better than those...

We love coming here because of their large, outdoor patio...and for the food too, lol! Enjoy sitting at the high top tables and marveling at the wild foliage below! The patio is mostly shaded during the summer evening with only a few rays of sun peeking through the trees and lit up with lights at night. They had one of the three big screens playing sports when we were there. We have been to the Heritage location several times with each experience being a pleasurable one! Everything we've tried has been good! Cali Hamburger, Crispy Sweet Potato Waffle Fries, Honey Mustard Grilled Chicken Grinder, Homemade chips, Grandma's Pizza to name a few favorites! Service has been good each time as well! We were disappointed last week as we were told the patio was closed because it had rained the day before, but it could have been that they were short on help. We went back the next evening and all was good!! It's also a convenient walk to Publix if you'd like to do your grocery...

I stopped in for an impromptu birthday dinner and sat at the bar. I had great service, I was seated promptly and there were plenty of staff on duty to help with anything I needed,they have excellent service! I had a few drinks and the bartender was helpful and also knowledgeable in that he was able to perceive the cocktail I was trying to describe having a taste for perfectly. I recommend the Mexican mules they are tasty.

I ordered the I think they are called Italian rolls, which were awesome new take on a pizza, very tasty and cooked perfectly with the perfect ratio of toppings. I also ordered a Caesar salad and I had more food than I could even consider finishing on my visit so I ended up having a Togo box of the rolls and they were super tasty heated up the next day for lunch. I got some ranch and some marinara to dip them in and that was the just the cherry on top of everything that evening. Thanks chef Kevin for running a solid neighborhood staple. I'll be...
