Waffle House — Restaurant in Wake Forest

I don't normally have an issue with this location or any for that matter, but they missed the mark real bad with me on my order. On Monday, a holiday, I ordered an allstar meal and a side. In this order I picked a regular waffle, bacon, scrambled eggs with cheese, grits, wheat toast, and hashbrowns as an added side. When I picked up my food from the location, I did not check if the order was all there. That's a fault of my own. When I got home I saw that everything without opening the containers were correct, but I was missing my grits. I tried to call, but their phone number doesn't take calls because this location only does online orders. This is problematic because I have to drive back to the location to explain what happened. So I went back, told them I was missing an item, and got my grits. When I came back home, I finally opened all the containers and was honestly upset. My waffle appeared to be fine, but when I flipped it over, it was a blueberry waffle with the whole center and most of the back as blueberry batter. Honestly, I had to remove about a third of the waffle just to eat it. The blueberry batter was so pasty to me that I couldn't even handle it in the spots that I removed. To add, I do not like blueberry waffles, but I was hungry and didn't want to waste food. My hashbrowns were extremely thin to be 1 serving. It was more the cooked top than anything else. My toast wasn't even wheat. And the grits I had got when I went back, had a hard over cooked section in it. I did not want to drive back to the location a second time and of course I couldn't call to report the issue because they don't take calls anymore. So I'm choosing to write a review about it. Rightfully I should've checked my food to make sure it was right before leaving, but I didn't do that as thoroughly as I could've. However, I'm quite bothered by this because it was barley anyone in the waffle house and they had two workers who weren't what I call busy. One was cooking food and the other was checking on the customer. And when I say barely anyone was in the location, two people came in to sit down, and maybe 2 other people were already sitting down eating. This would've also been an easier situation if the phone actually accepted calls instead of it automatically telling people about the location and that it no longer accepts orders by phone and to order online. I even tried pressing 0, and it just told me that was an incorrect number to use and then repeated the basic info. I'm not saying I wont go again, but I'd probably prefer to go to another location especially if I can talk to someone on the phone about an issue rather than drive back and forth to get...

Today was a long hard day as we had an emergency with our dog and had to get her emergency attention on a Saturday after hours!! As you can imagine it was very stressful and very expensive and we were very worn out but thankful that our girl was breathing on her own again! 🙏 We had a whole pile of fresh NY Strips we just bought but I was in nooo mood for cooking so my husband said let me get you some Comfort Food from Waffle 🧇 House!! I was relieved that he had a plan and readily agreed!! 😃 A while after he left he called me to say it would take longer than expected because he’d stopped at the store in Youngsville and the people he spoke with seemed incompetent so he decided to drive back to Wake Forest 🌳 and try that one instead. Ok 👍 all good with me! I’m just thankful we’re gonna get to eat before it officially becomes Sunday morning! Haha He arrived home some time later and said “I’m not sure if I remembered to ask for your waffles well done.” I was still fine with that. I said ok…I’ll just pop them in the toaster. After all how many restaurants are open this late anyway?!? I’ll let the pictures do the talking on this one. I was given this amount of syrup for FOUR WAFFLES!!! 😂 And Yesss…that is RAW Batter you’re seeing around the edges!!! On ALL of them!!! HOW high do you have to be to give your customer partially cooked food to eat??? That’s actually DANGEROUS!!! Sooo I tried to call the place but they just have a message that repeats over and over saying “Please go online to place an order there. We no longer accept orders over the phone.” Okkk…so how do I at least get a refund?!? This is so ridiculous I’ve been laughing over and over. I’ve traveled alllllll over the US y’all!!! And I’ve never gotten anything this messed up at a Waffle House in my LIFE!!! In fact I’ve come across some of the best most impressive cooks at Waffle House…like Grill...

I usually dont come here but today really showed the reason as to why i try not to. We came and were waiting to sit at either a booth or whatever was available. A elder couple comes in and there was one person seated at a booth, the waitress Courtney and the person decide to move to give the table to the elder couple. Mind you we had been waiting for about 10-15 minutes already. The waitress then proceeds to tell the elder couple who got here after to go ahead and sit down. I told the waitress and them “hey but we got here first.” The elder couple upset says to us “well then go ahead.” From my understanding and the rules its first come first serve. We sit down and the person who gave up the table for them apologized cause she did it for them, same for the waitress. I feel discriminated and made feel less of. We came first so why do they get the table offered first and everything even though my mother and I had been waiting? And to top it off, this waitress in particular Courtney has always been rude to us, when she cooks she knows our order (we order the same thing all the time when we came) i dont order egg in my bowl and she always puts egg on my bowl and its like on purpose. Monique who is the TOP STAR here has to always tell her “hey i thought i said no egg.” This either has to stop or I will go higher! Courtney may have years of experience but cleary shows she doesnt like us and we have never done anything wrong to her or anyone who works here, which is why it confuses me as to why she is so disrespectful, rude, and...
