Early Harvest Diner — Restaurant in Wakefield

Every time I am in town to visit my grandchildren, we have a ritual of going to Early Harvest. That ritual ended last weekend after a very unpleasant experience After waiting 10 minutes for my waitress to come by. I politely asked a waitress who was walking around with a coffee pot to pour refills if I could please have a cup of coffee. Instead of receiving a cup of coffee, she went behind the counter and started whispering my my waitress and pointing at me. My waitress came to my table with a cupOf coffee and an attitude. This attitude continued throughout my stay. I asked the first waitress if I did something wrong by asking her for a cup Of coffee. She said “No - you are perfect “ while walking away from me After breakfast, I asked my waitress for a to go box for the half of pancake my grandson didn’t eat. While I took him to the bathroom to wash his hands , the leftovers were thrown away. She told me unapologetically with no offer to replace it. My new ritual will now be going to North End Ave diner across the street where the waitresses are friendly...

We enjoyed our last visit here, so we decided to bring the rest of our family this morning for breakfast. Unfortunately, with the service we had today I don’t believe we will return and felt I should make this review.

Our server, Jessica, was inattentive and somewhat rude, making our family feel like we were an inconvenience just to be there. It took about 10 minutes to even be greeted and 10 minutes longer to get our drinks, with one us having to ask for an iced coffee 3 times before having another server eventually assist us.

When other tables sit after you, have eaten, and then pay their bill before you have even ordered your food, it’s always a bit disappointing. It got to the point where other servers took over our table and we weren’t checked on again by Jessica, so someone in our party had to approach her at the counter to request our bill.

We truly enjoy the food here, but with how poor the service was today it is difficult to...

I loved this place. I went for my birthday with my mom. I ordered the ultimate veggie omelette without broccoli and with mozzarella cheese, it also comes with a two sides, home fries and your choice of toast. I also got an order of the stuffed French toast with ricotta and chocolate chips; so cannoli. The atmosphere was quiet, nice, and clean, which is very important. The woman that sat us down was very kind and polite, she took our orders very professionally and was patient with us, because we needed extra time to decide what we wanted. The food came out very quickly. It was the best omelette I have had from a restaurant ever! It had cute cut peices of mozzarella, which was good because it wasn’t too much. Like in the past other places added too much. The home fries were some of the best I’ve had too, lots of good flavor. The Stuffed French Toast was absolutely amazing, the presentation was everything! We will definitely come back...
