We ordered delivery from this place through doordash. First I will explain about their awful customer service then I will review the actual dishes that we did receive.
When we received our order it was missing a dish so we called the restaurant and asked for them to deliver the missing dish, or give us a refund. They told us that they could not and we could either pick it up ourselves, or get a credit for next time, or call doordash and get a refund. How is that good business practice? We order delivery and pay for delivery and the restaurant packed the food and forgot an item and we have to jump through hoops to get what we paid for or the money refunded? It wasn't just the inconvience of it all, it was the attitude of the person on the phone, he was not apologetic. He simply did not care and acted like it was no big deal, so what if you paid for something and you didn't get it? No biggie, deal with it, was the attitude he projected. Btw, I don't know about you but the order was $82 and change, not counting the tip for the driver and that is a big deal for me when I shell out that kind of dough and don't get what I ordered or a simple sorry and intead get complete indifference.
Now to review the food, the reason I give it 2 stars is because the meat in both the lamb and goat tikki masala dishes that we ordered were very tender. However, the sauce was just passable and the was barely any meat in either dish. We also ordered chicken briyani and it had clumps of white rice throughout the dish because it wasn't mixed properly and it was bitter tasting and simply awful. Do not go here, order takeout or delivery unless you want bad customer service and tasteless Indian food. I suggest you get in your car and drive to a good Indian restaurant like Namaste in Stoneham and pick up the food yourself because that's what I will be doing next time I want delicious...
Read moreWent here with my girlfriend. We were the only patrons in the establishment at this time. Waited 32 minutes for an appetizer. Not a good start.
Food finally came. I've tried Indian food from many regions of India and this food was mediocre. Not bad but certainly not wow!
Service was decent but the server talked too much. Please, leave me alone, I want to eat without feeling the need to chit chat.
The worst part---bill was $60. The server was instructed to charge the card $36 and the other $36 would be paid in cash. This would leave the server a 20 percent tip at $12.
The next day, my girlfriend saw they charged the card $47.01. Remember, he was told to charge the card $36. Upon calling, the fellow who answered didn't have the knowledge to issue a refund so we had to take the time to go to the establishment during the evening. At first they couldn't find the slip, then found it and were trying the say the bill was more $.
This was laughable and I couldn't believe the stupidity..yes stupidity of the fellow trying to weasle out of the error-- the bill right in front of him clearly said the total was $60.
The point wasn't about the additional chump change. A poor error was made when it wasn't busy(only customers there) and then they tried to weasel out of it when the proof was in front of them.
The gf was given back the cash after they realized they were wrong. I just can't get over the time wasted to teach adults basic math as my two year old is...
Read moreSubject: Request for Investigation of Alleged Marriage Fraud in Certain Businesses
To Whom It May Concern,
This is an urgent request to bring attention to alleged fraudulent marriages taking place in Massachusetts, New York, New Jersey, and other states.
It has come to my attention that some individuals, particularly in certain Indian-owned businesses — such as restaurants, temples, grocery stores, gas stations, motels, and hotels — may be engaging in marriage fraud in order to obtain green cards. In many cases, it is alleged that American citizens in vulnerable situations (including those who are homeless, struggling with addiction, or in need of money) are being paid to enter into sham marriages.
There are also concerns that some of these cases involve the misuse of VAWA (Violence Against Women Act) protections. I respectfully request that ICE and USCIS investigate these matters thoroughly, especially in the restaurant industry and related businesses.
Reportedly, many of these alleged fraudulent marriages are occurring in Connecticut, New York, and Massachusetts.
Thank you for your attention to this...
