Wakefield House of Pizza — Restaurant in Wakefield

I’m new to the area and didn’t know where to find a good pizza or eggplant parm sandwich, so I looked at pizza photos from other shops and none of them looked as appealing as Wakefield House. That said, this was the most delicious pizza I’ve had in a while. Not super greasy, not thin or floppy. It’s a nice bite. I opted for the pepperoni and they hit a home run. It was unreal. So, I got that and a large eggplant sub, which as you can see, is enormous and another super tasty treat. Now, my mom is 100% Italian, so I know a good eggplant parm when I taste it and this one is incredible. I grew up in Wakefield and use to go there when I was a puck 14 year old and play the video games. The owner, John, was always a gentleman to us even though we rarely bought anything. I moved when I was 18 and had not been back since last week. I went in there recently, Oct 2021, to see if it had changed much. To my surprise, John was there! My husband and I grew up in Wakefield. He joined the Air Force so we have spent 23 years moving around the country. Every time we visit home, we stop here first on the way to my in-laws in Greenwood lol. I remember walking down here as a kid to get a slice for a dollar, playing the arcades in the back room with my now hubby when we were dating as teens, stopping in after work and then introducing our children for the first time to this deliciousness over a decade ago.
