Dodah's Kitchen — Restaurant in Waldorf

This was my second visit recently, and an extremely long wait only to be told that they don't have the food that was ordered in store. One part of my order that was in stock was extremely overcooked, with fried shriveled bits disguised as cauliflower. What is normally a nice delicious dish is now a 1 star ranking. This order was also 3 drummies instead of 4 usual. So disappointing and for a 20-minute wait.

There have been multiple occasions outside of the prior two where food is not in stock, yet they allow you to order it anyway. They never eliminate out of stock items at any order kiosk with food that isn't available. Multiple clients were "told" that food items ordered and paid for weren't in stock, but could not understand your employee. An expected standard is to be transparent with customers and to have someone who can communicate, with providing those esl employees accessibility tools to do so. There are people in there now who have been waiting 30 minutes for food. It's ridiculous. I feel bad for your employee because ultimately, he is the face that your customers see, and you are not supporting him well. We've patronized, hoping that it will get better after providing feedback in person, but no...

I've been plant based for 2 years now n I love trying new places. I'm a huge FOODIE.. This place is okay. I expected better tbh. Food didn't really have flavor frfr. 75% of my food was cold. I had to wait 10min to speak to the 1 person working and ask multiple times if she could warm it up. (👀like ik if my food is hot or not) For $30 I expect hot food to be hot. I dnt think that's asking too much tbh. The sweet tea drink wasn't sweet at all. The greens were okay. But yams n mac I wouldn't order again. The BBQ ribs give BBQ meatloaf but they were okay as well. if I was Introducing someone to vegan food I wouldn't take them here. The restaurant is clean n relaxing, a bit of background music would be nice. The lady was nice, but working alone can be alot, so the wait time was understandable. But I spoke to a guest who has been coming for 3yrs and she said it's always person, so dnt come if ur low on time and it's a line or, order in advance.

I definitely won't be back to this location bc cold food for $30 is not cool. Especially when I didn't love any of it, but I will try a different location and see if I have a different...

I appreciate a fully vegan restaurant, but this one misses the mark. My husband and I stopped in at about 1:30pm and they open at 11am. The hot bar options which we assumed were lasagna and other entrees seemed to have been sitting there for quite some time (most likely since opening). They were uncovered and very dried out. We each chose an entree + one side that were options different from the hot bar items. My husband had the fried oyster mushrooms with seafood mac & cheese while I ordered the crab cakes & mac & cheese. My husband’s mushrooms were good and the seafood mac has an odd, off-putting flavor. They had run out of the crab cakes, so I instead chose the BBQ ribs. The Mac & cheese was ok, just lacking in flavor and was dry, not creamy. The BBQ sauce on the ribs was good, but the ribs had a squishy consistency. The portions were large, but neither my husband or I finished the meal and honestly, it wasn’t good enough to save the leftovers.
