On March 29, my children and a few of their friends went to this restaurant for dinnerâabout nine of us in total. The wait time was okay, but the real issues started once we were seated.
Our waitress took our appetizer orders right away since the kids were hungry after a long day. She also took our drink orders and put in our sushi selections. After that, she briefly explained the restaurantâs process. However, once we went to the buffet bar to grab a few items, we realized we didnât have any forks or napkinsâwhich, with kids, was a problem. We asked her for some, and it took about 10 minutes before she returned with them. I also had an infant with me and needed a spoon to feed her. After waiting another 10 minutes with no sign of the waitress, I ended up asking the front desk for one.
When our first round of food arrived, the chicken was completely flavorlessâhonestly, it was awful. We tried adding seasoning from the buffet bar, which helped slightly, but it was still pretty bad. The pork was the best option, but some of the kids donât eat pork, so that wasnât a great alternative for everyone.
With two adults and a group of kids, cooking on just one burner was frustrating and time-consuming. When I asked if we could have a second burner, I was told it wasnât an option. On top of that, our drinks sat empty for about 20 minutes before I finally had to ask the front desk for refills.
The burner also needed to be replaced multiple times, and at one point, after they switched it out, they forgot to turn it back on. We waited another 15 minutes before finally flagging someone down to fix it.
To top it all off, the cleanliness was disappointing. Many of the plates at the buffet bar were visibly dirty, with leftover food still on them. I had to ask one of the employees cleaning the bar to remove several dirty plates.
The only positive aspect was the atmosphereâit was nice. However, the food was not worth the price, and the service was terrible. We will not be returning. I highly recommend going to the restaurant around the corner instead. Their food and service were both excellent. We tried this place because two friends highly recommended it, but unfortunately, it did not live up to the hype. We spent a significant amount since everyone opted for all three dining options (sushi, soup, and barbecue), and it was a complete...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at T Pot Hot Pot- Korean BBQ - Sushi in Waldorf, Maryland, and let me tell you, it was an experience worth sharing! Having just opened its doors, this gem is poised to become a favorite among locals looking for a fresh dining option.
The moment you step inside, youâre greeted by a beautifully remodeled space that exudes warmth and style. The white marble accents and decorative touches create an inviting atmosphere perfect for a lunch break or a cozy dinner. It's evident that the ownership has invested in making this space not only functional but also aesthetically pleasing.
The menu offers an enticing All You Can Eat option, which is a fantastic deal at $29.99 for adults during lunch and $36.99 for dinner. The variety is impressive, featuring a selection of BBQ meats, hot pot ingredients, and sushi. From tender Bulgogi and short ribs to succulent shrimp and calamari, thereâs something for everyone. Not to mention, the side options like fried dumplings and seafood pancakes are a must-try!
While the restaurant is still in its early days and the staff is in training, I found them to be genuinely eager to assist and learn. There was a slight learning curve, as it added to the charm of visiting a newly opened establishment. Just remember to bring your patience, as the two-hour limit per table can lead to a bit of a waitâours was about an hour, and honestly, it was worth it.
The sushi selection is a delightful surprise, with 12+ specialty rolls that are sure to satisfy any sushi lover. Although some items are limited to select options, the quality shines through in every bite.
T Pot is a refreshing addition to Waldorf, filling a void for another quality Korean BBQ and hot pot experiences. Itâs clear that this restaurant is hitting home runs right out of the gate, and once word spreads, I expect it will be bustling with patrons eager to indulge in its offerings.
So if youâre in Southern Maryland and craving a delicious meal, donât miss out on T Pot Hot Pot -Korean BBQ - Sushi Itâs a culinary adventure that youâll want to embark on...
Read moreThis was by far the worst dining experience my family and I have experienced in a very long time. We love Korean barbecue and have tried many different restaurants.
We came in (2 adults and a child) and were seated directly behind the hostess stand. Our server arrived some time later and we expressed multiple times that we were not ready to choose our soup base, yet she did not leave until we did. During the same first trip in which we ordered our drinks.
We had never had hot pot before - nobody explained how to use those burners, how long to cook those items, or turned them on for us. We figured it out by ourselves.
Multiple times throughout our visit we were reminded to place empty/unwanted plates on a rack at the end of our table, despite not being done with any.
The entire time we ate, a group of 2-3 women stood 3 feet from us by a bus cart directly outside of the kitchen speaking loudly and staring at us.
In total, our server visited our table maybe 4 times, including the time I stared her down for 10 minutes and made eye contact several times in order to get our check. When I finally got her attention, I asked for it and mentioned a coupon at the same time. She came back 15 minutes later with our check, and then obtained the coupon from us.
In addition to that, the music was entirely inappropriate for our 10 year old to hear (song subject and inappropriate language - think sex, drugs, cussing).
Last but not least, as we went to leave I (17 weeks pregnant) attempted to use the ladies room only to find it fully packed with waitstaff on their phones.
The gentleman who brought our soup bases and other items was polite and professional, and he is probably the only person in that restaurant I can say that about from yesterday.
Onto the food quality - mediocre at best, especially for the price. With good service and atmosphere I couldâve gotten past that, as it wasnât awful just nothing to...
