TGI Fridays — Restaurant in Maryland

I've Been To This Location Before But On Wednesday July 19th For Some Reason They We're Just Horrible. My Friends And I Had The Intentions On Going To Drink At The Bar, No Seats Were Available For 3, Ok Cool Fine We Decided To Sit Around The Bar Area. We Walk To A Table And It Hasn't Been Cleaned Yet, So We Wait.... 5-10 Mins Before We Had To Get Someone To Clean It. Then A Pregnant Woman Comes To Wipe The Table And I Have No Idea Who Taught Her How To Wipe Tables But You're Not Supposed To Fling Food On The Floor Or Towards The Customer. I Barely Tripped Over That But I Decided To Include It In This Review. So The Table Got Cleaned And We Sit & Wait, 5 Conversations Had Passed Before Our Waitress Came. So She Takes Our Order & We Asked For Water Along With Our Meal. 15 Mins Pass & The Food Runner Brings Out Our Appetizers, Mind You They Were Supposed To Be Jack Daniels Wings But When They Came Out They Looked Like Fried Nuggets With The Sauce On The Bottom. I Immediately Refused The App Because They Just Half A**ed The Whole Thing. So Another Server Comes By To Explain That They Picked Up The Wrong Plate And I Could Tell He Genuinely Cared About What We Were Getting Served. Thanks Dre! So Fast Forward With All That I've Said; We Got Our Waters With An Extra 5 Min Wait For Straws, Food With No Silverware, I Was Literally Licking My Hands Until I Asked The Other Waiter Dre To Bring Us Some Silverware Because There Weren't Any Napkins Either. Mind You It Was A Wednesday Evening One Of The Slowest Days In The Restaurant Industry. Also We Haven't Seen Even Our Waitress Since She Took Our Orders Not Once Has She Stopped By To Bring Us Straws, Silverware, Or Napkins But I Did See Her Tend To Her Other Tables. So I Asked The Other Waiter Dre If I Could Speak To His Manager Because Initially I Wanted To Switch Waiters Because He Obviously Cared About How We We're Being Served. So The Manager Comes And Im Explaining The Experience So Far, And She Just Seemed So Dumbfounded Like She Doesn't Know How To Run Her Own Staff. I Wasn't Complaining To Get A Discount Or Anything I Just Wanted To Know Why It's So Slow. She Says Someone Had Gotten Sick So She Let Them Go Home Early And Now She's Short Staff. I Said Ok That's Understandable But From What I Saw In The Back Earlier There Were At Least 8 Other Staff Memebers In The Back Looking Like They Had No Business, One Of Them Was On Their Phones And They Just Looked Like Roaches That Got Caught In The Kitchen. So There Should Be No Reason That We Didn't Have The Bare Minimum Which Was A Clean Table, Water, Straws, Napkins, Silverware, And A Greeting! At Least If We Would've Gotten That We Wouldn't Have Even Complained. If The Waitress Was Overwhelmed (Which She Wasn't I Could Tell) She Should Have At Least Had Another Team Member Help Her Out A Little Bit. So As I'm Speaking To The Manager I Realized I Was Talking To A Brick Wall Because She Couldn't Even Give Me A Legit Response To Anything I Was Saying To Her She Just Looked And Nodded, So Our Waitress Comes By Our Table Atleast 3 Times While I'm Speaking To The Manager Just To Eavesdrop On Our Convo, She Apologizes To The Manager But Not Us. I Wasn't Looking For An Apology From Her I Just Wanted Her To Acknowledge Us A Bit More, But After That She Hasn't Checked On Us At Since She Took Our Order. So With All That Being Said The Service Was Terrible From Shamora I Believe Her Name Was, I Appreciated The Concern From Dre, The Drink I Ordered Whichever Was A Strawberry Henny It Was Disgusting, It Tasted Like Watered Down Juice No Henny Whatsoever. So When The Bill Came My Friends And I Paid Cash And Left Because At That Moment We Were Just Over The Whole Experience. So The Manager Catches Us As Were Walking Out Asking If We Got Our Receipts And I Said There Was No Need Because We Paid The Exact Amount. The Reason I Didn't Tip Was Because I Felt Like I Didn't Get Served At All, I'm An Automatic 20% Tipper Because I Myself Used To Be A Waitress And I'm More Understanding When Things Happen But I Couldn't Tip Her....

I dined at Fridays on veterans Day 2025 around 1300. Once my waitrrdd saw my veteran ID she already had an attitude she's an African American girl with blonde braids. So when I was ordering food I told her can you bring a to go box because I probably won't finish it. She said "no I cannot bring a box veterans do not get boxes." I didn't argue with her but as I went on eating I saw her give like 13 or 14 people boxes and I would ask them are you a veteran? are you a veteran? and they all said yes there were a veteran. I asked my waitress for a box again and she again said "you can't have a box." (A to-go box is what I'm referring to.) I asked the bartender who I also saw handout many boxes, and she said yeah hold on a second but she ignored me as I stood there waiting for her to give me the box. (I believe she talked to my waitress and the two of them decided I can't take my food with me) So I took the plate and I went and put the food in a box I already happened to have in my car. It was embarrassing and degrading. Other customers witness this and you can see it on camera if you like I was wearing a blue jacket. Like I was a criminal or something why am I walking out of Fridays with my food on a plate? I don't know her name but she's an African American she was working at Friday's on Tuesday November 11th at 1:00 p.m. This was a horrible experience I've never had a bad experience at Friday's before it's always been one of my favorite restaurants but now I just feel embarrassed and ashamed like there's something wrong with me taking advantage of the veterans Day meals at Fridays as if I'm a criminal or something. she treated me like I was doing something wrong. Very rude to tell me I can't have a to-go plate because I'm a veteran. She literally said veterans don't get to go boxes. That is the weirdest thing for a company to have a policy where veterans don't get to go boxes but everyone else does. If you watch the camera you'll see her giving to go boxes to the veterans who behind me. While we were waiting to get seated I had asked them if they were veterans and they told me they were. So I already knew they were with veterans! I hope you guys have cameras and I hope you review them because this is absolutely unacceptable of your waitress to act like she's God and gets to decide who gets it to go box and doesn't. You will see me take the play to my car and then come back and put the plate on my table if you watch the cameras. Also another thing she did wrong: When I was waiting to be set there was a light skin black female there who was responsible for a seating us. She asked us to put our name on a list. My waitress the one with the blonde single braids came over to the spot and just asked "who's next?" Not checking with her co-worker to know that there was a list running. The veteran I was sitting beside (like I said we all talk to each other so I knew who was a veteran!) said she's going to start a fight like that she should have checked with her co-worker before coming over here and saying something. Her coworker had a very detailed list I don't understand why she would come over to the host area if she was a waitress. Just want you to know that this employee was very unprofessional. My daughter wanted to take me out for dinner and movies. We were both getting ready to have a great time. We were both undecided on where to go for dinner so we drove out to Waldorf and chose to go to TGIFridays in the Waldorf Market Place. WROST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!!!!! From the moment we walked in, the hostess said hi, how many? We said 2. The hostess than asked do you want a booth or a table. My daughter said booth. The hostess said ok well pick a table and go have a seat. Weird...Isn’t the hostess job is to seat the customer? We found a booth, sat down but never received menus. The waitress comes over with her note pad to take our order. I say; we never got the menu. The waitress was SOOOOO RUDE, she laughed at us and said in a very sarcastic way “ok well you just sat down” and then walks away. I wanted to go off but my daughter said mom please let it go. My daughter was not comfortable in the booth so we decided to change from the booth to a table. Which also changes the waitress...thank goodness. As I am looking towards the kitchen the nasty waitress says something to the manager and he is looking towards where me and my daughter are sitting. He walks over and says how are you today? We said fine. He says would you like some water while you wait. I said yes please with lemon. He says we only have lime. I shook my head no. He than said well we don't have lemon. I said than I would not like the water. He than says well what if i told you we didn’t want to give you water. I said then I will leave. He said ok well have a nice evening, than started laughing. I didn’t find it funny at all. We than get another waitress; ok now we will get good service. NOPE!!! I ordered the steak and shrimp and the soft pretzel. Never got the pretzel, but my meal comes, i say i didn’t get my pretzel. The waitress says oh do you still want it? Ahhh yeah. The pretzel comes burnt. My meal is missing the shrimps. I wait for the waitress she never comes back to the table. I had to get up and ask the bartender “Honey i am sorry to bother you i know you work the bar and i am asking if you can just get the manager for me. Honestly the bartender was the ONLY person in that restaurant that was polite and took my needs in consideration. Another manager comes i say i never got my shrimp with my meal. He looks agitated and says well it doesn’t come with the meal.Umm yes it does i ordered the steak and shrimp he huffs and says i have to check if she wrote that for you. Two minutes later he comes with four shrimp in a small plate. Still we have been sitting there for more than 30minutes and the waitress never comes to check on us. She comes and looks directly at my daughter and says like for me to refill your drink. My daughter says yes please. And walks away. When she is walking back to our table she rolls her eyes at me and puts the drink down and walks away, umm hello i am sitting at the table too. You might want to see if all the people at the table may need something else. Than a completely different person comes to the table to give us the check. Needless to say NO TIP GIVEN!!!! And i did indeed leave a note on the receipt of the poor customer service and horrible food. HAVE TO FIND WORKERS THAT PROVIDE GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE INCLUDING BOTH MANAGERS THAT WERE ON DUTY.
