Carolina Pizza Company — Restaurant in Walhalla

Busy , all staff were frazzled. Walked in waited as there was a 15 minute wait. No one knew to take my parties name. Until a cashier did and couldn't spell My name.. smelled tasty looking forward to enjoying our meal as guest from Asheville for a quit birthday weekend away from all the kids. a table came available and other were staring at the table and I asked politely for updation the table. A corner table was perfect and we were escorted to it. But I was dirty. I stood waiting for it to be wiped down. Another staff came and whispered to the server. Wait.. she turned and said. We have a quiet booth in the back And we were told to walk there. I turned and a family of 4 sat at our table and we found a huge booth for 8 people and were told that another party would be sitting in the opposite SIDE from us. Felt disrespected. As we usually are accustomed to clear attentive services when going to restaurants. I wanted the 4 top. As before and the other family was already ordering. Argh walked out. No explanation no manager to explained to us what just happened. Horrible trained staff. Smell good. Probably never return...

NEVER AGAIN! I had family visiting and thought that taking them to Carolina Pizza Company would be a good idea. The food was usually good. I wanted to show off part of Walhalla's pizza gem. However, upon entering with my family we went to the register to order as usual. There's a rude and unprofessional note on the register that makes reference to ranch dressing. It says that they don't have a ranch tree out back or something related to that. I was appalled and embarrassed that my family had to read such an insulting message. My family surely didn't expect that from someone in South Carolina much less the owner of an establishment. I will NEVER eat there again. I have better places to spend my money in support of businesses in the area. In addition, the food no longer tasted like it used to. The calzones we're hollow and barely had meat and cheese. Very dissatisfied, kept hearing burgers were supposed to be great. Unfortunately the burger was over cooked/dry and bun was burned and I mean to a black cinder block. Then service was worse, the dude dropped plates on table spun around and walked off, not once checked on us to see if we needed anything. Tried to get their attention but they were busy having a blast in the kitchen so they couldn't even hear calling for them. Ironically sign on door said "no mask no service " but yet no one in restaurant was wearing a mask? Obviously sanitation was an issue, as we were left to find our own utensils, forks and napkins were just set up buffet style by drink fountain. Yet don't know who has had hands in there. As a first time customer very disappointed. They did offer to comp the meal as we were leaving. Hopefully anyone else trying this place has better luck, as we were the only ones there, being busy...
