Rotolo's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Walker

I was a big fan of Rotolo’s in Walker, until I wasn’t! A little background; my wife and I have been ordering to-go food from Rotolo’s in Walker about every two or three days for the last two and a half years. In the last 12 months alone, we have spent $2,833.66 on food alone, not including the $5 cash tip I leave each and every time I walk in the door and pick up our to-go orders. In total over the last couple of years we have spent somewhere around $7k patronizing this business. I am a loyalty rewards customer so all of these numbers are verifiable via their app order history. The food was not always great, but it was always acceptable and at times, it was superb.

My relationship with Rotolo’s ended on Feb 20, 2023. I ordered using their app and my wife who happens to be Deaf went to pick up our order by herself and was made to feel stupid by a young female server and when I called to complain, the same female server answered the phone and gave me attitude so I asked to speak to the manager who I had always had a good relationship with as a frequent customer. What rubbed me wrong was when I was just about to get off the phone with him and everything was resolved, but I decided to ask the name of the female server. The manager said “well, I don’t know if I’m supposed to tell anyone her name”, which I assume was an effort to ensure that I couldn’t escalate my complaint to franchise management.

News flash Mr Manager, her name is on the receipt. Maybe now your franchise boss will be aware of exactly who caused his business to lose a $3k per year customer.

We arrived to your Walker location 3.22.25 as a party of 8 plus a baby on a Sunday afternoon. We were the only table. As we were there 2 other tables arrived. It took over an hour and while other tables were served we waited. It was my Godson's 1st birthday and we were trying to make the best of it as my brother in law had to leave to see his dying father in New Orleans on hospice. We were patient but after an hour the baby was fussy and bother anxious as he has to travel and now raining. My sister asked if just the pizza could be brought out ahead so he could go and baby could eat. 15 minutes later someone came from the back with all of our food packed in to go boxes. Shocked I asked why. He mumbled and said he didn't know and walked away. Items were missing, no silverware for salad, drinks empty. The waitress at this point walked past several times ignoring us as she was taking care of the other tables checks. I had to stop her and point blank ask if we were no longer being served. Her response was "no you are not." She then pointed at my sister and said "because SHE was rude to me." This is especially comical because ALL of our adult children are in the service industry. She made a request. We were a family trying to make the best afternoon out of the worst circumstances, and THIS was completely unacceptable. I am familiar with the Rotolo family and know that they also would not have supported this behavior. Shame...

Bad experience today will not be returning to this location in Walker ever again. I ordered my phone I was told it was gonna be a wait that was not a problem. Then I received a message that my mail was ready so I took another 10 minutes or so before I even drove to the location. I got in and it was someone who got a menu and she took his order even though she placed it with him help someone else and did not come back to me and she went back to him to take his order. Not even seeing what I was there for. Then she told me my food wasn’t ready. When I told her I got the message it was. So I waited another 10 minutes while my food said across from me. And she didn’t even have the audacity to say I’m so sorry I didn’t see it , thank you for making my experience so bad I will never come back again. I know for many this is petty, but would’ve been great. My bad would’ve been great ignoring the fact that you didn’t even serve me correctly and then when someone else came in, even though they were three people standing there who worked there , they immediately tended to them and just let you know black...
