Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Walla Walla

I will start this off by noting most experiences at this location have been less than pleasing. I've not visited in some time with the hopes that when I did return, there would be some improvement... Unfortunately, that was not my experience. There is a lot of emphasis placed on serving the blizzards upside down, but little else. The service, as always, mediocre. I realize it's fast food, but the team, as well as management, could learn a thing or two in customer service. Not sure what was colder, the frozen treat or the burger and fries ordered. Instead of extra pickles on the burger, all were removed. The children's apple sauce was packaged in the kids meal with large dried clumps of a sticky substance (please let it have been ketchup). Needless to say, the burger, fries, and apple sauce were not eaten. A disappointing experience to say the least. They do get 2 stars for the blizzard, that was consumed, and hard to mess up. Going forward, we will find alternate ice cream treats. This establishment is not...

Banana Split was anaemic. Less than 3 oz of ice cream and less than a teaspoon of each of three toppings. The actual serving looks nothing like the misleading menu pic above the register. I fell for it. Tasty, though. The portion size should be priced lower accordingly, about 50% lower in fact. Banana was fresh and my three year old obsessed over Dilly Bars. The grill items are of average taste and quality. I swear that the grill Mark's on the meat are artificial as well as their liquid smoke flavor. You backyard grilling pros know what's up. The staff is well trained and friendly. I'll go back but I will stick with a dipped cone in a cup or maybe a blizzard or a shake or a fudge something something. I mean, other than overpriced small portions, it's pretty difficult to mess-up ice...

I haven't been to dairy Queen in years but remember the blizzards being amazing. I got a coupon in the mail for blizzards with no exceptions listed. I went through the drive-thru and ordered two flavors of blizzards only to be told that one of them wasn't eligible for the coupon. It wasn't the drive-thru workers fault, but it's still bad form on the company. I ended up having to pay full price for two blizzards when the only reason I had even come was because of the coupon. The prices of blizzards have skyrocketed over time and honestly I could have bought several pints of ice cream for the same amount that I paid for two blizzards. I also ended up spending 15 minutes in the Drive-Thru while they tried to figure out the coupon and then spent forever making...
