My Iphone screen was shattered and my internal microphone had stopped working. Technician had replacement screen in stock. The technician carefully removed the "broken" glass screen, and checked to see what was up with the microphone. Turned out to be a faulty chip requiring the phone to be sent off to Apple. Cost would have doubled. Technician called me a let me know what was up; I opted to not do the repairs and instead replace the phone. Technician was able to reassemble the phone, return it to me working, and charged me a minimal price that was reduced since the Tech had made the appointment for me on line. These guys were great. They knew exactly what was going on with my phone and were confident about resolving the issue--at a price that seemed reasonable, given the fact that I didn't have many other options for iPhone battery replacement.
