China House — Restaurant in Wallingford

Communication problem over the phone. Specifically asked how much a side of corn was and was told $3.00. When we got home with the order , we were charged $13.50 for a side. When I called back they were closed. So I called the next day and explained the situation. I was told the person on the phone made the mix up and when she checked with the chef it was actually more. At that point a call back should have been made on their part. Never would I pay $13.50 for a side. She said sorry it was the girl who answered the phone, she didn’t know what she was doing. She said she will refund me and I will be holding them to that. Incompetence on their end shouldn’t cost me money. That’s just...

Just ordered for the 1st time. Have to say the 4 of us were quite impressed! The Hunan Eight Delicacies was literally filled with a large amount of large scallops, large shrimp, chicken & vegetables. The Boneless Spare Ribs combination platter was THE most tender and moist ribs I've ever had, and I mean ever!

There is NO comparison between China House and ordering from the highly publicized "reader's choice" winner. China House wins hands down!! From portion size to price, we will absolutely order from them again. Even the delivery guy was very friendly and personable. The online ordering process was quick & easy. I recommend this restaurant...

The absolute WORSE meal in the greater Meriden area. Please trust me, we order on line often and this was the first and LAST time. The chicken and vegetable dinner was an absolute joke. The meal part was literally half onion. Whatever person cooked this took an onion, cut it in half and that was half the dinner. I get more chicken from McDonald’s in a kids meal than I got from this horrible restaurant. The other meals were meager in amount (vegetable egg foo young) which was almost all oil.

Please, please trust me. Do NOT buy chop sticks from this...
