McDonald's — Restaurant in Wallingford

I placed an order for a large fry and large chocolate shake no whipped cream. Made sure to let them know my order number and the first girl at the cash taking windows was great. At the second window the guy handed me my fries then 2 minutes later tried to hand me a small shamrock shake with whipped cream. I showed him my phone with my order repeated what it was three times and he almost told the shake machine employee a large shamrock shake instead of my chocolate. Then a second later a lady walked over and asked my order and I repeated it again for her and showed her my phone. She asked if I told them at the speaker my order number which I confirmed I did. They then made me pull forward waiting for a shake. After pulling forward someone came over to me at the third drive thru window they made me pull up to to once again ask me my order. I had repeated it at least 10 times at this point. I was sitting there at the 3rd window for probably another 5 minutes waiting for my shake to come out before they brought it to me. By the time I left there the fries they handed me before the issues with getting me the shake had already gone cold so I couldn't even eat them. Waste of my money and the service was absolutely horrible. Getting a large shake shouldn't be so much trouble The only employee that was good that I interacted with was the girl that was taking the orders in the cash...

I visit this McDonald’s almost 5 times a day. I deliver for Uber eats lol! However, I also get an order from them every day, which always consists of large, unsweetened iced tea with 15 equal in it…again lol! I do have an order food there, as I deliver up until 1 AM. I’m not going to give it five stars because you know, it’s a McDonald’s and the food, well you know, it’s a McDonald’s. But as far as franchises go, this one is run tiptop. Five stars, Everybody is bright and cheery, the restaurant is always clean, and they always have a huge crew working. There can be 10 cars in the line for the drive-through and it will take you maybe five minutes to get through, that’s how fast they are. If you’re pulling off the road and you have kids, it’s a great restaurant to take them to, Beth McDonald’s location within 30 miles IMHO. I particularly like their smoothies, mango and strawberry. Wow. I’m sampled most everything from their menu from time to time, save the big Mac, which I last had 25 years ago, can’t stand the thing. But if you’re a fan, it’s probably going to be the best one you’ve had. I’ve worked in restaurants for 30 years, both high-end and low end, and whoever owns the franchise here, really...

The night manager a tall skinny white male is very rude. Went through drive thru and said I had a doordash order and so the person taking orders she said ok pull up so I pulled up but the person taking orders (who is not the problem btw they were very nice) didn’t mention what window. And they have two drive thru windows up 1&2 so I pulled up to the 2nd window like you do at a drive thru, so another person can go to the 1st window after they pay. The male manager employee comes to the window I’m at and goes what do you have. So I said what I have and he goes did you tell anyone I go yes and he says and you decided to pull up here with an attitude. like you can’t blame a customer when I just saw a person at that window in there car and someone handed them there food. And then I go to apologize for going to the 2nd window and he cut me off and goes you would have been sitting here for a while like no one told me what window and I’m the issue.
