Roodle is an excellent Asian restaurant in Wallingford. I would say the menu leans toward Thai influence with a smattering of Chinese and Japanese thrown in. Service is quick and efficient. Started with an order of Duck Roti Wrap. Best described as Peking Duck wrapped in Flat Bread. The dish was good. For entrees we ordered Pad Kar Pao Gai & Egg and Beef Stew Noodle Soup. The Beef Stew Noodle Soup was a large bowl with loads of beef and plenty of noodles. The dish was tasty and an excellent value. The Pad Kar Pao Gai is a dish consisting of ground chicken with green beans and a fried egg. I would compare this dish to the Thai dish Larb. This dish was just ok. It lacked acidity which would have made the dish much better. Service was excellent. Ordering was prompt and the food came out quickly. The wait staff checked in often and made sure water glasses were filled. Overall Roodle is a restaurant that I continue to visit whenever in the mood for good Asian food. The food is tasty and an excellent bang...
Read moreMost noodle places have a vegetarian section on their menu and I wasn't disappointed with Roodle. The Thai chinese scallion cakes were wonderul and I highly recommend you try the Lichee juice. My companions ordered the DUCK ROTI WRAP and CHICKEN SATAY for their apps. The appetizer portions are huge! For my entree I ordered the TERIYAKI TOFU WITH RICE, it was very tasty, tofu was cooked just right and the veggies were crunchy. I just wish it had more veggies and much less rice. One of my sons ordered the SUKIYAKI BEEF RAMEN, it was beautifully presented and again, huge portion. My other son had the TOM YUM NOODLE SOUP, beautifully presented. Everyone was very happy with the food. Sorry, I was starving and didn't take pics :-( My only complaint is that our entrees came out sporadically one at a time, by the time the last one came out, the first person was already halfway through the meal. The prices are very reasonable for the portion sizes. Going to try to save room for...
Read moreI've been coming to this restaurant for about 2 years. In my opinion the food is fantastic. However today I had one of the most awkward, Uncomfortable experience I've ever had at any restaurant. I went with my Wife and nephew and went to eat outside(beautiful weather) and idk why but the waitress came outside asking alot strange questions about why are we eating outside and not inside... is there something wrong with the place(she continued with this type of questioning). Then watched us for over 10 min straight from the inside while we ate. And I'm mean STARING THROUGH THE WINDOW LIKE A CREEP. We tried our best to ignore it and just enjoy our food. Once we finished she rushed outside and asked us to clean up the table...then had the nerve to ask us for a tip! Absolutely weirdest restaurant experience I've ever had. We spent over 50 dollars at this place to get treated like that. I will not...
