Melo Melo is an adorable dessert shop with locations in both Rowland Heights and San Gabriel. They specialize in making coconut desserts. All their desserts are prepared daily using fresh fruit. They are delicious, natural, and healthy! Their coconut jellies are paired with a wide assortment of fresh fruit, purƩes, pastes, and more. They even come in the cutest reusable jars!
FOOD:
What I ordered: Coconut Double š„, Mango Pure Coconut Jelly š„, Yellow Dragon Fruit Coconut Jelly š, Limited Strawberry Mochi Coconut Jelly š
These coconut jellies are so yummy! Iāve personally never tried coconut jelly before but they have the most silky smooth texture. The jelly itself is not too sweet and extremely refreshing. It pairs so perfectly with the sweet fruity flavors. Itās so hard to choose a favorite but for me it has to be between the yellow dragon fruit and pure mango. The yellow dragon fruit was so incredibly sweet and fresh. The texture was a perfect compliment to the pudding like jelly! The pure mango adds a sweet fruity element to the already delicious coconut jelly and creates a perfect balance. Overall though, all of them were super amazing. They have such an incredible assortment of flavors, I cannot wait to go back and try even more next time. The jellies are a bit on the pricy side but given how they are so fresh and packed with delicious fruit, they are worth it.
SERVICE: The workers here are so sweet. They are very helpful, especially if itās your first time. They will take the time to explain to you all the flavors and share their recommendations if you ask. They made the experience super pleasurable. Melo Melo also has an adorable eating area where you can enjoy your desserts. Overall too their store is super aesthetic and cute.
PARKING: Melo Melo is located in Diamond Plaza which tends me be super busy so parking can be kind of difficult. There is underground parking though which has plenty of spaces in case parking does run out. The plaza also is super fun to explore so you could easily spend a whole day just hanging out here.

We ordered their strawberry coconut jelly and red bean coconut jelly (originally wanted the taro one but they said they were not available yet). The coconut jelly was very tasty, quite enjoyed it by itself actually. Lightly sweet and refreshing. The strawberry mixture on the other hand, I think I could do without. I ended up finishing the coconut part and all there was left was the strawberry puree. It was too sweet and tart when left alone to eat.
Updating on the red bean coconut jelly, definitely prefer this one over the strawberry one. It wasn't as sweet and the pairing of the two flavors worked much better than coconut + strawberry puree. The earthy tones of the red bean complemented the coconut jelly really well. I would def order this one again. :)
Will try again for the taro cococnut and/or coconut...
