I've been on a curry craving lately and Midoh thankfully has been satiating it whenever I'm not cooking it at home. đ I've been here years ago, although it seems like I didn't quite like it back then. But I'd like to update my experience!
I come 1-2 times a month, the wait time can be long so plan accordingly (this place is always busy). Really wanted to give them a five â rating but sometimes I find the efficiency not as consistent when the owner/manager (an older lady) isn't there (she's the quick and efficient one). When it's just regular staff running things, they give 100% priority to phone orders and sorta just leave dine-in/wait-list customers waiting even though tables are ready to be cleaned/bussed and turned over to the line of people on the wait-list.
BUT, they have delicious food! Every order comes with a small salad lightly drizzled in their tasty miso vinaigrette and your choice of miso or corn soup. Since they don't really have what I like, I usually go with the "create my own" option. Curry base with carrots, mushrooms and sliced beef with a side of potato wedges. The curry is delectable with the perfect level of spiciness and always good amount of mushrooms and meat.
My partner always enjoys all the different choices he goes with from katsu to their omurice dish. Also all our friends we've brought to dine here has always enjoyed...
Read moreThis is a nice hole in the wall. Would have never guessed the name or place. Tried this place a couple of times. The first couple of times it was always pretty good. First time I stopped by here, I went for their braised beef tongue and boy was it good. It was soft and tender/pull apart deliciousness in that demiglace sauce. Usually combos come with salad and choice or corn or miso soup. I usually just go for their corn soup. Came here a and few times and tried their pork katsu and it was really good. Usually itâs most and flavorful. Canât complain at all. The last time I had it. the katsu was slightly dry but not to the point where it wasnât enjoyable. Overall Iâd keep coming back as itâs imo underrated. I highly recommend you try their braised beef tongue, even thatâs not what theyâre known for. But overall their katsus are pretty darn good. You can even get curry katsus or other...

I loved the Mentai Seafood Udon! The sauce was so addicting and it clung to the udon very well. Super flavorful and creamy. I wish I could have that sauce on every pasta dish. The shrimp were tender and the mussels were cooked well. Some of the calamari were overcooked, but overall pretty tasty! I think my biggest complaint is that there weren't any scallops as stated in the menu.
I highly recommend the corn soup as a side. The corn soup is decadent, creamy, and a very subtle corn flavor. Not overly sweet or savory. I love the cute presentation too! I could drink it all day. The takoyaki is also a great appetizer! The perfect texture and has a good amount of octopus...
