Guanachapi's Mexican and Latin Food — Restaurant in Waltham

I recently stopped by this Mexican restaurant for a quick burrito, thinking it would be a fast and easy meal. They told me it would be ready in 10 minutes, which seemed like a long wait for just a burrito, but I figured maybe it would be something special. After waiting 25 minutes, I politely asked about my order, as I was in a hurry to pick up my son. It turns out they had completely forgotten about my order.

I asked for a refund, and the cashier seemed annoyed, claiming she couldn't process it because the manager wasn't there. After insisting that she call the manager, I waited another 5 minutes for the manager to finally come out of the kitchen. I guess she was in the place all along, and they just did not want to do a refund.

The whole experience was a total disaster—what a "shitshow."

Love Guanachapi’s but I could not give this particular location a 5-star. I know this is location #1 for them, but we often go to the Express location they have in Framingham,MA and we recently observed that the Birria tacos (a favorite) was not as good from the Waltham location. They were nearly the same but the stewed beef typically has a better flavor and is juicier. The stewed beef is dry from places despite the dipping juice and Guanachapi’s is typically very good. But the Framingham location takes the edge for now. As far as pricing, the menu price did not match our final bill. We’re willing to pay it, but it would have been nice to not be taken by surprise. La comida se veía rica pero la atención fue horrible, el personal atiende muy mal a la gente. La comida la sirven helada ni siquiera fría y la regresamos a que la calienten, la llevaron de muy mala ganas, en el plato había ensalada de lechuga y metieron todo el plato al microondas con todo, le reclamamos y contestaron que todo el mundo come bien así y que no van a estar calentando a las 8:00pm cada plato ya que la comida la tienen caliente desde la mañana y no van a estar haciendo ese trabajo con cada persona, le dijimos que lo tendrían que hacer ya que comida caliente debe servirse caliente y la ensalada fría. Bueno, fue un momento muy desagradable con gentes tan mala educadas y nos dijeron que salgamos porque no iban a traer los platos a los caprichos de uno. Ya habíamos tomado algo de las bebidas y nos dijeron que no querían que pagáramos éso y que saliéramos, andábamos con una señora de 92 años en silla de ruedas y no les importó. Digo yo….Si fuera mala persona con ganas reportara este incidente al departamento de salud pública de Massachusetts y si aún fuera más mala persona denunciaría este restaurante a Migración-ICE y yo preguntaría a toda esta gente. A qué les sabe todo ésto? Señores, aprenda que toda acción tiene siempre consecuencias y ustedes por ser tan atrevidos con el cliente podrían arrepentirse para el resto de sus vidas. Recuerden que no todo el mundo está acostumbrado a comer frío y con mala presentación un plato de comida ya que NO todos hemos llegado aquí por el desierto donde me imagino que hasta lo más impresentable e incomible se degusta y se mira bien y rico. Ya están en el PRIMER MUNDO y a un restaurante va todo tipo de gente y ustedes tiene la obligación de atender a todos con respeto y amabilidad, no solo a la gente de su raza o pais, de lo contrario pongan un letrero en la puerta que diga que solo atienden a gentes como ustedes o a sus amigos iguales a ustedes que les da lo mismo comer frío o caliente. Si quieren respeto, empiecen por respetar, EDÚQUESEN ya que están en el país de las oportunidades! Que restaurante, gente y comida tan ordinaria!
