My meal was extravagant looked great tasted awesome. I jumped right in on my broccoli right away I was disappointed it was already cold. Brought to my table cold. But I wasn't gonna let that mess with me. I ate it as fast as possible. K just to get my greens. I earned it. Potatoes were excellent. My toast was good. Garlic bread cold also. Bummer so I ate it with my eggs not awesome.
Saving my steak for last cutting it all up to add to my eggs and potatoes also 4 slices of bacon only got 2.
No big deal I've got a big meal I'm still happy.
Tried my first bite of steak. It was chewy and raw. Not rare it was raw. A rare steak would be juicy and tender. Not raw and chewy.
I tried to get over it I'll try a few more pieces. Nope it's even raw at the bone. Medium rare it wasn't. Bloody raw. Likely cooked for 10 seconds on 1 side and 20 on the other barely seared on one side. I was disappointed and sick to my stomach. I hate to return food especially steak. But naw I couldn't. I had to speak up.
I got a 2nd steak still hungry for steak. No biggie I'll shake it off.
2nd steak Medium rare... nope still rare.
20 seconds later they brought my steak back.... kinda quick but not thinking cool looks good. Every cut was no color no red. Tastes rubbery rubberized. Hmm did they put my steak dinner in the microwave... worst T-bone I've ever tasted. Looked like beef liver.
I sliced it up because I like to eat not cut eat cut eat. I was cutting to the bone no color.
Texture was wrong like silly puddy rubberized.
I couldn't believe it a good looking cut of steak cooked in the microwave only explanation. Or it was thawed from being frozen a year. And barely cooked and microwaved.
Um. I'm going to leave Dennys alone.
I'll keep buying steaks at steak houses. Not Dennys
Still ate 2 bites of it and felt sick.
I can't stand microwaved food. I know instantly.
I'd like a refund.
Really. I'm sick to my stomach recounting this whole dinner. My eggs were slimy not cooked hot like I had requested. So yuck on that too.
And to think I made the extra effort to come to this truck stop for Dennys. ...
Read moreAs always food at Denny's was very good, 5 stars. The burger was cooked they way I like it, not well done nor too rare. The service would be a 5 star too but it needed that extra touch you that extra star. When I arrived the restaurant wasn't full and I imagined that because management knows what days and hours are busy they had enough personnel to cover but it took a little extra time for them to come to the hosting area and welcome me and the other 3 guest that ended up waiting on the time it took them. I didn't have allot of money this time so I ordered the $8 Burger and Fries. Well, I wish Denny's would be truthful to their advertisement, if it's an $8 meal why say $8 but charge $8.99 but as always everybody does that so it's easily overlooked and I did. However, when I ordered I just told the waitress the $8 Burger meal and pointed to it, but when I got the bill it was $11.11 and I'm wondering how it went up $3 if the meal was only $8.99? Looking at the bill, they charged $1.49 for a slice of cheese. I know all prices are higher when you're asking for add-ons in restaurants but I didn't order the cheese. If course I like cheese on my burger but the waitress simply added something I didn't ask. A 5 star service should be for an excellent service including serving what the customer orders and maybe the waitress could have asked if I wanted cheese it would be extra. This may not be a big deal for most people, but for someone on a super tight budget that has had so many things go wrong on the last 2 months, it makes a difference! So a note to management... Some people order the cheapest things on the menu for a reason and great service should be done regardless of what they ordered. I know waitresses gets paid very low compared to other jobs and they don't work on commission for selling a slice of cheese. My daughter is a waitress and just like her all waitresses depend on their tips. So I tipped 18% of my bill which is not a whole lot, but an excellent service would have put the extra $1.49 in her hands and I wouldn't have to write this review this way. Again, food was great but service could have...
Read moreI just visited with my partner for the first time, and I believe that we couldn't have experienced a more perfect introduction to Denny's. For context, we came in like 8-9 PM on a Sunday night. It's very quiet and relaxing, and it's small, but I like that a lot. Our server, Krystal (I apologise if that's spelled incorrectly), is such a sweet person. She's very kind and she was on top of making sure that everything's good with our dining experience. Definitely an example of what customer service should be, but also an example of how treating others with kindness goes a long way. Now, to the food. The menu is HUGE, which can be overwhelming, but there's so many good options. It's very affordable to dine at Denny's, about $10 - $20 per meal depending on what you get. We placed an order for the cinnamon sugar puppies, and it's an amazing deal. 10 big hush puppies for $5, I'd happily get those every time. Now, I saw the Beetlejuicy burger that they have in promotion for the movie releasing, and I knew that I had to try it even if it gave me the worst heart burn that I could imagine. It tastes great. Yes the bottom bun gets super soggy and it's a burger that you'd definitely need a fork and knife for. But as long as it tastes good, that's what matters to me. I am experiencing heart burn after, so maybe prepare for that, but it's worth it to be super filled. I like that the fries come out unsalted so you can add however much you want to them, it's nice because a lot of places will make them super salty. They're good, fresh and on the softer side, which I'm sure you could request them crispy if you wanted. My partner got a spicy skillet thing, and he really enjoyed it. He added an egg for only $1 and he says that it's worth it. The chorizo was good, chicken was excellent. Very juicy and tender. Potatoes were thoroughly cooked and well seasoned. Overall, we loved coming here and we definitely plan to visit again to...
