Lulu's Diner Wapak — Restaurant in Wapakoneta

My friends and I came here for breakfast, we were told to find an empty table so we sat ourselves. Our waiter came over and she didn’t introduce herself. She asked what we would like to drink meanwhile we had no menus. She got us our drinks and then came back with menus. Her attitude wasn’t very pleasant. We ordered our food (I ordered sourdough bread with my meal) our food was brought to us by another employee. My “sourdough bread” looked like white bread so I waited till she came back around to ask us if everything looked fine, like a normal waiter would do. I waited about 10 mins and she still didn’t come back. I had to grab her attention when she was walking by. I asked her if it was sourdough bread she kinda gave me a look and said yes. After taking a few bites I knew it wasn’t sourdough bread. I didn’t say anything because I didn’t wanna make a big deal about it. We continued eating and she never stopped back by to asked if we needed anything else. We got our bill and attached to my bill was the paper she wrote our order on. With my order she had put down white bread, so that confirmed that it was white bread. I’m not mad that a mistake was made I’m mad that she didn’t choose to fix the mistake she had made even after me asking if it was the correct bread. We head to the front to check out and another employee started to check us out. I was looking around and seen our waiter look at the table for her tip and then runs up to where we were checking out at and tells the employee that she could check us out for her. Myself and another person went here sporadically for lunch and it turned into a successful nightmare! The service was spectacular, but the food was definitely lacking in quality. We both ordered the soup of the day, which was tomato-bisque. This was probably the best part of the meal, UNTIL I found I bee, yes a BEE, in my soup. I kindly asked the server for a new cup and for it to be removed from the bill. The rest of the order came out shortly after we finished our soups. I ordered the buffalo chicken wrap with onion rings and the other person ordered the Lulu’s quesadilla, or something to that extent. They were both mediocre. The chicken was fairly dry as telling it was frozen breaded chicken. The onion rings had zero flavor. They were large onion rings but the were very greasy and very bland. Could definitely tell they came straight from the freezer to the frier. Burger King onion rings taste 1000 times better. Everything was fine until about 30 minutes after we left the establishment. The other person started experiencing severe stomach pain and then was in and out of the restroom multiple times over the next few hours.

Overall: The service was great. The food was not. There are other breakfast/brunch places in Wapak that will not have as good of service, but you will be able to hear yourself think while eating and actually enjoy your meal that has some flavor without some unknown things being in your food or consequences that...

Usually this is our favorite LuLus spot to come to but not anymore. 7-7 at 11:35-12:30 we sat in the back at an extremely wobbly table, because all the other back tables were still dirty and not even wiped off. my coffee spilled out numerous times due to my daughter just simply coloring too hard in a book cause it was so unbalanced. I asked our server (didn’t tell me her name) if she could wipe the table off first because it was still really sticky (gross) and she was instantly annoyed. Idk if she is just annoyed with people who have kids or what but the is the vibe I was gathering the ENTIRE TIME. She walked away after getting our drinks and I wasn’t even finished speaking yet. I asked for French vanilla creamer and had to remind her after she had come back to the table twice at that point and yes she was annoyed again lol. I said please, thank you and was very over polite considering the service I was receiving back. But when a table of 3 guys sat behind us she was extra nice to them lmfao. I understand it’s a serving job, I’m in the service field as well but everyone should get the same service and RESPECT. she’s lucky I even gave her a lousy tip out of the kindness of my heart cause I wanted to give $0. Also, a table seated and ordered almost 10 mins after us received their food before ours AND my grilled chicken sandwich was so dry!! Extremely dissatisfying. Not worth...
