So, why would anyone take the time to write about a fast food joint like Sonic? Well, in this case, it is to share my experience as it relates to their customer service. I actually think they believe they don't even need customers to continue to operate. Here's what happened to me today: I like to stop of every now and then after work to get a slushy. In the past, if I happened to get behind a few cars in the drive-thru that were placing large orders and then I placed my order for a single slushy, I would end up having to wait a long time and it will have been very melted when I got it. So, today I decide that I won't place my order until I get to the window. When asked at the speaker-box to place my order, I explain to Mike that I'll just order at the window. So, I get to the window and the girl very rudely lectures me on how I could have ordered at the window. I explain to her that I am the customer and I will order when and where I please. She gets an attitude and starts a rant. I talk to the "manager," (Mike again) and he is useless. You would have thought I was asking for the moon. There was no one behind me and I wasn't doing anything to slow them down. I just am tired of getting melted slushes. They really aren't slushes if they are melted. If you do not care how you are treated or like to be treated poorly as a customer, then I highly...
Read moreI understand being short staffed, overworked and overwhelmed. However, nothing and I do mean nothing can explain the lack of communication and courtesy that all humans deserve. Afternoon lunch with my kids turned to an irritated 20 minutes. Upon arrival there were only four other cars in the parking lot. One at the window, one at the window, and two empty cars in stalls. We pulled into a stall and decided on what to eat. Afterwards I hit the button and waited for someone to respond. That took a few minutes for one to come but I was being patient. Unfortunately we sat there to be told only a drive-thru was open. Okay fine, we can still get our food it's only one car in line. Once in line it takes an extremely long time to order. So much so that I put my car in drive from park to pull off. Then again a familiar voice came to the speaker. We ordered and waited some more. At the window you can see into the kitchen. I was not happy about the practices that you advertise on your window because only one person followed them and that was the young lady at the register. I watched her wash her hands and change her gloved hand. The older gentleman, as polite as he was trying to be with my aggravated face, not so much. He had stuff all up his arms and wiped his clothing as he walked past. Sonic on Russell I will drive to every other Sonic before coming here again. The food...
Read moreWe arrived a few minutes after 9pm, perused the menu for a few minutes, and placed our order. After about 30 mins, the display showed that our order was on the way. Thirteen minutes later, our food was delivered by a carhop. I asked for the manager to come out. He did come out and was apologetic, but did not seem to know what to do. Since the bun on my sandwich was hard as a rock, I asked them to remake my sandwich and bring some napkins. Unfortunately, I did not know at that point that all of our meals were terrible...including the cherry limeade and cherry Dr Pepper. My wife could not finish her sandwich and dumped her drink out. My daughter could not finish her sandwich. Everyone complained about their cold fries or tots. Absolutely terrible experience! I have been a huge fan of Sonic for more than 30 years and this was, BY FAR, the worst experience I have ever had. AND I had to pay more than $31 for the experience! For that kind of money, my family of four could just about fine to a sit-down restaurant, enjoyed our meals, and been done in the amount of time it took at Sonic. It was 20 minutes after 10pm by the time we left...well over an hour for fast...
