House of FusYin — Restaurant in Warren

This is the sushi restaurant I've been waiting years for!

I am so excited about the sushi from House of FusYin that I want to review each and every one of the 4 rolls I ordered. In fact, I want to try and review as many rolls as possible!

I'll start with the deluxe roll, the "Red Carpet". See photo attached with this review. "Crab stick, cucumber, avocado, & sliced tuna on top" Presentation was top notch. There was a mini-lemon wedge in my to-go container, two packets of soy sauce, good quality ginger, and a bit of wasabi. I'm a baby, and ignore the wasabi. I enjoy the soy sauce and ginger, and it complimented this roll nicely.

The tuna was super fresh and very tasty. The avocado isn't my favorite, but it has fantastic health value, and I've learned to co-exist with avocado since it comes with many of the sushi rolls I love. It was artfully added to the red carpet roll to give the impression of red carpet (the red tuna) rolled over green grass (the avocado).

The cucumber gave a lovely crunch (I've also gotten this effect nicely from asparagus stems in sushi rolls, but the cucumber has a cleaner bite). The crab stick had a nice even flavor and texture.

I would definitely order the "Red Carpet" again and tell my friends this is a great roll to get!

"Simple Fresh" tuna roll is a staple sushi order in my household. Between myself, my 15-year-old daughter, and my 10-year-old daughter, we had 9 orders of this roll. The 15-year-old appreciated the presentation, but didn't like the avocado. The 10-year-old found the avocado more to her liking, but wasn't a huge fan of this roll. She did encourage her 15-year-old sister to eat it WITH the avocado.

I understand my daughters like the flavor of the tuna, but I feel the roll is much more balanced than its competitor (from another sushi restaurant). It included sesame seeds as well as avocado, which gives the roll more texture and flavor.

After going to a couple other near by sushi places in the past and getting sick from them twice OR the price/quality wasn’t there, we were desperate for somewhere. I googled this place and tried bc of the high reviews. First off- in a post pandemic age where customer service folks have an attitude especially over the phone, the gentleman who answered was a delight! I had lots of questions and he answered no problem. Second- my son has a shellfish allergy and it can be scary to go anywhere seafood driven. He asked me a couple times and went over ingredients to make sure I knew which had shellfish items. Third- I got there it was all being done fresh. The chef reiterated about the fryer and allergy concerns. I was impressed at their level of concern! Fourth- the food was stellar!!! Different rolls. So fresh. Soo soo good! WE WILL BE BACK!! My husband and I found out about this hidden gem recently, and got some sushi for dinner last night. This was absolutely THE BEST sushi we've ever had. All the ingredients are so fresh, and the pricing is amazing considering how fresh their items are. We got the Crispy Cali roll, Detroit Crunch roll, Volcano roll and an order of pork dumplings. Everything exceeded our expectations!! So delicious, and prepared so fast! Even for ordering fried items our wait was not long at all. The owner was such a gracious lady, so very kind and friendly.
