POUR ADVICE BAR — Restaurant in Warren

I'm having a hard time reviewing this place. There are plenty of pros, but some major cons. I feel a 4 star is too high, but a 3 would be too low.

First the cons: -Horrible lay out!! -The clothing area. The store is big, but big enough for the small clothing section? No. -Price if clothes. It's Kroger, not Macy's. -Prices aren't as good as one might think. A local grocery store about a mile west has some better prices. -Upper management staff were just "hanging out" while it looked as though the floor staff were working their butts off! -There are not enough cart carousels. I think that's what they call them. You have to walk half away across the parking lot to get to one.

Pros: -Nice selection of gourmet foods including cheeses and wines. -The free cupcakes they had today. -Friendly staff. -Short wait in lines. -Clean, but it is new. -Bulk nuts, trail mixes, and other random things.

I'll be honest, I was so overwhelmed that I couldn't make it through the entire store. After walking around looking for pita chips for 15 minutes, enough was enough. Maybe next time there won't be...

Stopped in for lunch. The outside looked great and when I walked in it was more of the same. I hadn't been here in at least 10 years, the new owners have done an amazing job with this place. Not only did they expand the bar but the renovations look amazing, everything was sparkling clean and new. It looks totally different, for the better. MaryBeth was bartending, she's awesome. She recommended the split pea soup & it was delicious. Coincidently, MaryBeth hired me years ago when she used to manage Club Chevelle. I LOVE her, everyone does. She's been bartending in the Warren area for many years, is a hard worker & knows how to mix a drink. I used to enjoy her as a coworker and I like sitting at her bar even more.
