I pulled up to this spot specifically for the Boba tea and the puff waffle advertised on their website and IG. The waffle is actually displayed on the front window. But when I wanted to order it, I was informed that they do not offer it anymore. I wanted a snack to share with the family so I inquired about the small menu and the cashier had a hard time describing the food because of a language barrier. I ordered something savory instead, because she described it as an omelet with corn but when I smelled it, and bit into it, it had some kind of fish oil and some dehydrated type of meat, I'm guessing an anchovy? But I was not feeling it and frankly, was quite irritated that I ordered a fish omelet. I guess the shame is on me for not googling it on my phone to find out what it was, and just generally, because I trusted someone who couldn't truly communicate what was in the dish. Overall, I ordered a thai tea with Boba, that seemed to be honey Boba, perfectly cooked and the tea was not too sweet, a hot green tea with black honey that was just average and the omelet for a total of $21 and I probably could have just ordered the thai tea and called it a day. The cashier said they had Thai street food, I believe, but I've had Thai street food in Los Angeles and this was NOT that at all. I took a star away for the miscommunication about the omelet and another star for the fact that they had the dang waffle advertised everywhere but stated that they did not offer it. The last time that happened, I complained about it being advertised and they brought the dish out anyway, despite the fact that they "did not offer" it but it was way under cooked. I'm not a fan of...
Read moreThe drinks here are really good, although the prices are a bit higher compared to other boba tea places, the quality makes up for it. However, the staff definitely needs better training in customer service. Every time I visit, the employees are not friendly—no greetings, no smiles, and they never ask any questions or try to engage with customers. There’s a young Asian woman with long black hair who always looks uncomfortable whenever I ask something. Once, I asked if they still made egg waffles, and she simply said no without offering any explanation. I also ordered more than five drinks on one visit and wasn’t even given a receipt. She didn’t ask if I wanted one either, which I think should be standard. Another time, I called the store to place a to-go order, and they asked if I had Zelle or Venmo, which was confusing. I’m not sure why that was necessary. I really enjoy their drinks, but if the customer service doesn’t improve, they might end up losing...
Read moreGreat little new bubble tea shop in Warren! The location is close to the local Asian stores/shops in the Asian Corner by 12 & Dequindre. This place is really great overall, there’s a nice atmosphere and the drink selection is broad. Inside there’s plentiful cozy seating all around. Drinks are average comparable to other bubble tea shops nearby and the prices are reasonable but do note that some drinks don’t include toppings, they’re $1 extra btw. Otherwise, the drinks are all one large size. Just don’t go crazy with the toppings and it’s reasonable. We tried multiple teas, their Stormy drinks (rlly good btw), and also their egg waffle. The waffle was fairly portioned but ours arrived cold. Their hours are pretty flexible, opening at 11am - 9:30pm so you can stop by early or pretty late in the evening. I will visit again in the future and check out more of...
