Update: Much better Service than the Last Time we ate there. My Steak was cooked the way I ordered it! My husband had the Salmon and said that it was Delicious! Overall, Nice Restaurant! Update: Not the restaurant my husband and I used to go to at all! It was a 5 Star and it was FAR from it this last time. My husband and daughter had the lasagna which is good. Her boyfriend and I had the smothered chicken with INSTANT (not edible) mashed potatoes and the chicken was old and tasted rotten. The mushrooms on it were slimy, as well! We had to send it back because he almost got sick in the bathroom! Then, the Manager came out & we explained it to him. He said that we could order something else which we did. However, it took FOREVER to get our order the 1st time and even longer the 2nd time which was awful! My daughter & husband had been done for a long time before we finally got our food. We took it to go, so NOONE had to wait, anymore. Service was subpar, empty drinks, and we had to take our food with us because her boyfriend was SICK & I didn't feel well, either! Then, on top of that, we were still fully charged for Everything! BAD SERVICE & our food was Rotten! Do Not Recommend until something possibly changes for the better! My husband and I used to love the food here, but it has gone DOWNHILL! Delicious food. Saganaki (cheese lovers) with tzatziki sauce, pita bread, and kalamata olives was delicious! Lobster Bisque 🦞 is scrumptious... Toasted ravioli and pasta & beef tips were all perfect! Service was perfect.. Definitely Recommend!

We were traveling through on the highway and found Players and decided to try it out. Upon arriving, the 2 young ladies asked if we wanted the dining room or the lounge. We opted for the dining room since we thought it may be quieter. The girls looked like we spoke in Chinese, very confused. They said the lounge was pretty empty. We wanted the dining room and finally got it. We were greeted by our waitress who brought us water. The water was VERY nasty. When we both wanted a Coke instead we explained it was because the water tasted bad. The waitress told us it was just Warrensburg water. 😕 We ordered our food and it was good for the most part. We had the chicken plate with salad and mashed potatoes and gravy and a gyro dinner. I opted for the fried potato salad as my side. The mashed potatoes had a good flavor, but they looked like they had sat and not been stirred before being dipped out. The chicken was PERFECT! Very crispy and moist, just as you want it. Oh yeah.... It's a whole half chicken. 🍗 The fried potato salad had a weird color and just didn't taste good. The potatoes were soggy, not fried crispy with a crust. The gyro was good and there was plenty of food. Very good portions! I took off a star for the waitress bringing me a to-go tea, twice, that was very watered down and not as good as the first tea I had. She also forgot our Coke for a while and I had to remind her.

Players has been a solid choice over the years. The booths are really small and tight, but if you get a table or booth/table combo, you are able to enjoy your lunch or dinner better. Tonight I finally tried their prime rib, and I was happy with it. It wasn't 5 star, but it was evenly done with good flavor. I had a side salad with it, which, along with the mashed potatoes and gravy made me feel that those two dishes are probably made with less desirable ingredients maybe for cost, but for a finer dining experience would hurt the dish. However, the Grecian toast was phenomenal, it is crispy on the outside and chewy, with a luscious buttery garlic flavor in the bread. I tried the soup, which sadly they seem to kind of give up when it comes to soup, as they almost always have the same soups, and they are poor quality. They ran out of the birthday desert, which was fine, but our server, who had great class and service, upgraded me to the cheesecake. It was thick, creamy and delicious. Our service was excellent and made up for some of the sub par sides. Overall, I enjoyed the visit, but can only rate 3 stars, as it feels pretty inconsistent. Some great, and others, just blah. Ill go again though, as I know what I like there.

If I could give negative stars I would. This has to be one of the worst restaurants my family and I have visited. We were in Warrensburg for a few days and on 9-1-21, we decided to give Players a try. We didn't wait too long to be seated which was a plus. It was a good 5 minutes after we were seated before our waitress arrived to take our drink orders. We ordered our drinks and an appetizer. We inquired about a couple of dishes on the menu which our waitress was not familiar with at all (apparently she had been gone for 3 weeks) with no change to the menu. She came back in a five minutes and took our food orders after she wasn't familiar with hardly anything on the menu we asked about, including sides, size, and prices regarding the "prime rib special". After 25 minutes, our appetizer finally arrived, and our drinks were basically empty. She refilled my daughters soft drink and it was flat (no carbonation). We waited another 25 minutes, and when she returned there was an older female manager with her. Our waitress told us our food would be out soon. I told the older female who was the manager that we were not waiting any longer and that I would pay for our drinks and the appetizer, but we were not staying any longer. The female manager became condescending and rudely stated, "Your food's in the window". Now mind you, this is the first time she has been even reasonably close to our table and her first instinct is to be a rude-ass towards unhappy customers. Then she states, "That's why there's a note on the front door saying they're short-staffed". I told her there was no note on the door, she claimed there was. I told her staffing issues wasn't my problem and we were leaving. I had to wait for another 5 minutes for them to bring me a bill. I paid the bill with a $100 bill and had to wait almost another 10 minutes while the rude-ass manager walked around in the kitchen and periodically looked out the kitchen door window at us. While out front waiting, we double checked and there was no note on the door. When we questioned the front desk girl, she stated they had "just taken it out". I asked when and the response I got was "earlier". So, it wasn't there when we came in? "No, we took it out earlier". I will never darken the doors of this establishment again and as long as they employ unknowledgeable, incompetent employees and rude managers, I hope no one else wastes their time...
