Been coming here for years and have watched them steadily improve. The breakfast goodies are great all day. I like the brownies and occasional cinnamon roll, but they have less sugary items like muffins, scones and savannah bars. The berry muffins (lemon raspberry, blueberry) are just the right consistency, moist with plenty of berries. If you need something hot, they have various breakfast sandwiches (made to order, not premade or reheated). Also, at least one time, try asking them to heat up a chocolate chip cookie. At lunchtime, they have a lot of good sandwiches, it's easy to overlook the place as a lunch spot but they have the best chicken salad sandwich I've had anywhere, a solid steak and cheese, and good deli sandwiches like turkey and swiss, blt, etc. The bacon is always cooked perfectly. The staff is super friendly, and they will listen to suggestions and feedback. For example, they didn't used to have bagels but after enough demand, they're now part of the menu. And they strengthened the iced coffee. Only a few things keep them from being perfect: pre-covid they had indoor seating, now that's apparently gone for good. It was only a handful of tables but I did like the atmosphere. Also, a few of my favorites like the bagels are on an irregular schedule, and it'd be nice if they were always available. I'm glad to have a spot like this in town, and appreciate that they aren't too "chain-like" and do a lot of charitable donations.

Menu was not clear about any potential seasoning on sandwiches other than garlic herb aioli. Turns out the eggs had seasoning, the bacon was covered in seasoning and when I asked an employee, she had no clue, she asked about the white herb sauce but never bothered to come tell me, I heard them talking & went to counter to get the info. They had to look in a binder and never responded on the eggs or bacon seasoning. If you don't care about salt, pepper, onions, or whatever random seasoning, definitely order a breakfast sandwich, it's a generous portion of bacon, eggs and cheese and the bread is fresh. I'm not a fan of pepper and the seasoning over powered the food for me. I was super hungry so I ate half before I had to stop. My friend took one bite & is taking it home to dog...

We had the Classic Turkey and Swiss Sandwich. I had mine on Sourdough and the wife had hers in Honey and Wheat. I thought mine was very good. I would have like a little more meat but that's just me. The wife thought hers was good as well and she liked the portion of meat she got on her sandwich. The stand out star was the Brownie. So chocolatey and very rich. So rich I need to save some for later. I love the outdoor seating and we could not have asked for a better day.

Iwork close to great harvest and I'm in their alot I love the food and coffee I have been trying to catch the owner their since my last two visits I am verry disaapointed one visit I did not want to be this person but I feel I need to since I haven't seen the owner in person one visit I asked for. Turkey and Swiss on sourdough with L.t.m. toasted I got the sandwich and left it didn't have nothing but meat and cheese . I didn't say nothing just thought well ok they made a mistake .but the last one got me here . I ordered the same sandwich turkey and Swiss this time on Wheat wen I got home I was exited to dig in and it wasn't turkey it was ham and cheddar I can't eat ham I have health issues so I went back in a day later and told one of the workers and I got a shoulder shrug and pssst even after I said I couldn't eat ham .now I feel like wen food is as expensive as theirs your order should be rite Everytime they didn't offer to replace my food did absolutely nothing to make this rite .I have been trying to catch the owner but haven't again I am not this person and I absolutely love this place and the food but that was a little disrespectful. I hope she makes this rite thats two times it's been wrong so I pretty much threw 35 dollars away and did not get to enjoy their amazing food .please contact me and make this rite I'm sorry to have to let you know this way . We're everybody can see it .I didn't Wana I feel like I am due the two meals replaced and maybe a simple. Just stopped by for my first time on my way back home on 29. Was planning on having french toast the next morning so I bought a french loaf and a honey wheat loaf. Right off the bat I was amazed at the price at $8 per loaf, but sometimes you gotta pay up for good bread! Then I got home and found out the undersized french loaf was clunky and heavy, not light and airy like its supposed to be. Then we started into the honey wheat, which is itself almost oversized. Not only does it smell and taste like cinnamon through and through which I find unappetizing for a sandwich bread, (Unless I had ordered cinnamon and raisin bread) but the middle of the bread is doughy and undercooked which I might have guessed based upon the pasty white crust. Just another example of a virginia Bakery that seems to do everything well but bread. Why don't these places start calling themselves cookie shops or pastry shops or maybe if the sandwiches are as good as all the reviews say perhaps a "deli" might be more fitting. Finally, I just noticed when I looked up the Google reviews that it seems like the owner is very diligent about responding to all of their friends that drop 5 stars, but seems to shy away from criticism. Weird! Want amazing bread Virginia? Every saturday morning Bread and Water from Alexandria comes to the warrenton farmers market in the parking lot off fourth street. That is artisan bread! I mean amazing! I didn't even complain a bit that their prices just increased. Get what u pay...
