We've lived in Warrenton almost 2 years, have been excited to try this place. It's really small, very limited seating so we waited for a time we were prepared to pick up a meal and go home. We ordered two large daily soups and two sandwiches. $33 but was expecting amazing sandwiches based on the ratings. I support local so also gave a 20% tip. Total was almost $40. A lady who appeared to be a manager or maybe owner offered to put our self serve soup in our bags as we waited for our sandwich. Apparently our receipt showed we ordered two medium soups. Rather than ask what we ordered, she pointed out OUR mistake stating it was okay this time but for next time, a medium is this size pointing to the smallest of the three sizes. Wow Lady! My boyfriend threw $2 more dollars in the tip jar, which I'd rather he hadn't. Then to top it all off, we were extremely disappointed when we pulled the sandwiches from the bag at home. Mine looked like an empty plate wrapped in foil, I was surprised to find there was a sandwich in there. And my boyfriend's sandwich was smaller than my fist, which is tiny! We...
Read moreIt had been a long time since I’d been to third and main. I was excited for something really fresh and local.
My husband ordered the hot beef and cheddar. It was the saddest little sandwich I’d ever seen…roast beef and cheddar on a store bought hamburger bun. There was some sort of sauce but it wasn’t identifiable.
I got a Cubano. Or at least that’s what I ordered. After looking back at the menu I’m pretty sure I was given a Turkey Reuben. It came with the cheapest possible version of Turkey available - you know the kind that’s all mushed back together and kinda slimy? Swiss, mustard and…sauerkraut? I think? Very bland sauerkraut. And it was just dry pressed in a panini press.
The white bean and tuna salad was awesome. But it was about 1/3 cup of salad for $6.
So sad. We live walking distance and would go all the time! But the quality for the price is...
Read moreIn Warrenton on a Friday. I had a hankering for chili but decided to check out Third+Main. Glad I did. Limited seating inside but seats and a table were available. Plenty of bistro style seating outside, where I chose to sit. Many appetizing choices on the menu as well as fare of the day. She-Crab soup was my choice. Very reasonable $ for the portion and quality. Soup was delicious. Real crab was plentiful with no imitation "sea legs" crab. I grabbed salt and pepper but didn't need it. Also got a slice of asparagus quiche that was fresh and fluffy with good flavor. Located on a very quiet alley. Maybe two cars passed while I ate. My soup and quiche were better than any chili I must say. I'll be...
