I decided to drop in for lunch due to an IG post sharing their South American Farmhouse Week. I sat at the bar so as not to take up an entire table. I was welcomed by Michelle, their wonderful bartender. She handed me various menus: drink menus (beer and cocktails) and also food menus to include their usual and this week’s South American Farmhouse menus. Michelle treated me so kindly, sparking up conversation and even cared enough to ask my name. While the cocktails were tempting, I chose Mama’s Little Yellow beer with a reasonable ABV of 4.7 according to Michelle. It was mid-afternoon and I did not want to go full speed. With every intention to return again, I intend to have Michelle mix me a cocktail either a Latin Mango Slap (spiced rum, mango, lime juice and mint) or a Lavender Haze (bubbles, vodka, lavender and strawberry). I ordered the Peruvian Chicken entree featuring local Wiffletree Farm braised chicken served with rice and delicious super sized yuca fries. This meal did not disappoint! It was rather tasty. The chicken was seasoned well, the rice was not bland and the yuca fries were crispy and yummy with that secret side sauce. My Caribbean taste buds were happy. I wish I had enough time to have the Peruvian dessert. It looked divine! Michelle mentioned that we can expect a change in weekly menus throughout the Spring/Summer seasons. So I suggest following Cast Iron Crafthouse on Instagram for those updates. The restaurant is small and quaint. Perfect for ladies wishing to dine with family and friends or for a gentleman hoping to have a beer and a satisfying bite to eat. I’m thinking next time, a dinner date with my hubby. Good service is key and my visit today was so worth it. Thank you, Michelle!

The staff are very nice and the food is excellent. We had the jalapeño popper starter and they take a little getting used to because they’re not the cheap squishy kind you get elsewhere. They are freshly sliced and filled with cheese, breadcrumb and then I guess broiled briefly. The only thing I’d change about them is maybe char the pepper before filling and broiling to bring out the flavor of the pepper more, but they are excellent either way. My wife had “the cooper” grilled cheese and loved it. Be mindful of the chicken as how it’s placed in the basket, it’ll likely run to one side of the bread with the amount of cheese and buttery goodness they have sliding out of the sandwich. I had the “Bleu Steel Burger” medium and it was delicious. The bacon was perfectly cooked, as was the burger. There is just enough blue cheese and the roll was perfect. I wish there was a little more bbq but I could have asked for more and didn’t, as I don’t need the calories :). The fries are very much like chick fila, so there isn’t much to say. We didn’t get flavored fries but will next time. The drink selection is excellent. If you enjoy obscure cocktails with a spicy kick, or beer you can’t really find without visiting a specialty beer store or a small brewery, this is the place to go. It has a nice local mom and pop bar feel without the sticky floors and cigarette smell. Do yourself a favor and visit this gem.

What a wonderful and welcoming place. My family needed a last-minute space to gather and celebrate the life of my 97 yr old mom. We no longer live in Warrenton, but were recommended CICH by a friend. We showed up after the funeral, and had a seamless and wonderful party. We all joined together in their private room upstairs and the space could not have been more perfect. The owner & staff were incredible, compassionate, and helpful . They turned a very sad, difficult day in to a wonderful party for my family and friends. With their bluetooth speakers, I was able to play all my moms favorite songs throughout the day. The food and drinks were delicious and the servers went above and beyond. Thank you Doug for making this day so easy and perfect and taking such good care of us on such a hard day. Also, thank you to everyone at Cast Iron Craft House (the owner, additional servers, and event coordinator) who helped us that day. I highly recommend this restaurant/bar which is perfectly located on 2nd Street in historic downtown Warrenton, Va. Cheers, Na Zdrowie, Stin Iyia Sou, Cin Cin, Slainte, Prost!!!!

Not a good experience at all. It took 10 minutes for a waiter to come to our table. Another 10 minutes to get a beer. There were only 2 of us and the restaurant wasn't all that busy. Qe ordered the shrimp and crab dip, which to another 20 minutes to cone out. The dip was room temperature and they only gave us enough chips to eat 2/3s of the dip. We asked for more chips but they came out 10 minutes after our dinner. We told the waitress when our food came out to cancel the chips but they came to the table anyways and we were charged for the additional chips. We waited 40 minutes before our dinner even came out. We both ordered a burger, one medium and the other medium rare. The medium burger came out well done and was extremely dry. In a normal situation, I would've had it remade but I didn't want to wait another 40 minutes for another burger so I just smothered it in ketchup so I could get it down without choking. The medium rare burger came out rare. Both plates had waffle fries that came out in blocks stuck together and tasted awful as well. I wouldn't suggest this place unless you have a lot of time to spare and aren't looking to eat food food. We spent over $60 for one of the worst meals we've had. I wish I would've read through the reviews before we went instead of relying on the overall Google rating, which I'm not sure how it got to...
