JOE & VINNIES PIZZA SUBS — Restaurant in Warrenton

My role, as a critic, is child's play. I risk nothing, while those that dare to boldly subject themselves to my relentless and merciless focus risk everything, their business, their livelihood, their culinary purpose. Bad reviews are interesting and entertaining, and feed on narcissism and appeal to those that would place themselves and their opinions over others... a widely growing audience that ferments, multiplies quickly and even rewards the vilest toxic retort in this day and age. Withstanding this darker side of the human condition, and judiciously balancing my objectivity on the edge of a knife, today I will go so far as to say that this chicken parmesan submarine sandwich that was placed before me, prepared by the hands of the good people at Joe & Vinnies... this is the single best I have ever had or ever will have. Despite it's humble appearance, and a size large enough to be fired from the torpedo bays of the Red October, this chicken parm sub has dwarfed the flavor and substance of all other chicken parm subs in the known universe. It has redefined all that there ever could be in a chicken parm sub. It has no peer. It has no contender. This is not merely the best in Virginia, or in the United States, this passionate masterpiece of gloriousness subordinates the finest kitchens of the Americas, Asia, the Middle East, the great Republic of Texas, and even those of Europe, to simply remaining other than the best this world...

Picked up a pizza and salad tonight. So disappointed. Salad had brown on lettuce. Pizza had no taste. Been eating pizza 40+ years. Worse pizza I have ever had. First time I have ever gotten something not good from them. Won't waste my time or my money again.

2 weeks and this is the response I got for my post. The translation:

Dear lady, how are you inviting her to come to the pizzeria so I make her try the pizzas I make and the salad, on that day I made two hundred pizzas she was one person, to tell me the pizza had no taste as well as the salad goodbye.

If u are the only one making pizzas and by 5 pm you have made over 200 pizzas by yourself then perhaps u need to take a break. Simple cheese pizza with ? Sausage. I find it hard to believe that no one complaining. Bye the way salad was brown, didnt say it had no taste. Thanks for taking the criticism so well. It will truly draw people...

Best Italian sub (You can get it hot or cold, I always get it hot) and Steak and cheese with lettuce tomatoes mayo fried onions and mushrooms in Warrenton! The Vinnie's Special pizza is the best also! I love telling people about this place.

Whenever I go out of town and order a sub I always compare it to Vinnie's Italian sub or his steak and cheese. So far none are as good as his. No other place gives you the amount of meat on the sub that this place does. When I'm home there is no other place that I will buy a sub from. Their pizza is the best also! The veggies! The meat!

I can always tell if Vinnie makes my subs, if he does it's extra good...even tho his staff makes really really good subs too!

I love the owners and the family, the staff are good...
