Patino's Mexican Food — Restaurant in Warsaw

I don't understand the good reviews. I am not from around here but I'm stuck living here for the time being I have lived all over, that being said I have to give this place a low rating for the quality of the food. First off change your oil, my chimi's tasted like old oil and they should be crispy not soggy when I order fried. The red sauce (enchilada sauce) tastes as if it came from a can, no flavor what so ever. I know this isn't a high end steak joint but being family owned, take some pride in what you sell. I did like the chips and salsa but I think the salsa could use a bit more flavor. over all a very bland experience. Not great, not even close to 5 stars. If you want good mexican food , you have to expand out of this town and even the state then come back and compare it. Weirdest "Mexican" lunch I ever ate. The salsa was cocktail sauce, like for shrimp, didn't taste like salsa at all. I had a grilled chicken burrito and when it came the chicken was brite white, chewy and tasteless. But that's not the weirdest part: the burrito was covered in MARINARA SAUCE! Nothing like the combination of flavors of hot sauce and sour cream with Spaghetti sauce!! I should have asked for Parmesan cheese instead of hot sauce LOL!! 1st time here, and it will become a regular stop for me. The tacos a la carte are exactly like any authentico taqueria tacos., simple, double corn tortilla, choice of meat, onion y cilantro., simple but delicious. Atmosphere is exactly as expected, equally authentic. This is the kind of food and service I appreciate the most. I had a chorizo taco and a carnitas taco.
