Decor is awesome and the lake view definitely contributes to that. My daughter and I came for a late lunch and really enjoyed everything we ordered. The gyoza is great as well as the yakitori. The green salad was very simple and also very delicious! The standout for me personally was the stir fried soba with chicken. Very light in flavor upon the first bite, but add in a little soy sauce and some of their excellent yum yum sauce and it becomes exceptional. I like this place... it’s not a full service “cook in front of you” hibachi restaurant but they don’t charge you like those places either. Because of that I think it is a great place... for the price. Which pretty much is what to expect: Even the sushi may not use real crab but then they don’t charge $15 a roll either. I like their hibachi lunches and dinner. Lunch is a great way to try them out. Not bad for a steak hibachi lunch. So if you want a quick hibachi or sushi fix Yamato is worth a stop. Payed 66 dollars for two people for the all you can eat. Me and my fiance have gone a few times we realized the waiters are judgey and can be rude. I ordered a California roll and noticed they put a little sliver of crab but when I looked over at the table next to the table next to us there’s looked completely normal. And for me paying that much money I would expect better. I don’t recommend coming here unless you want judgy staff and overpriced food that’s not worth it. If they changed maybe I would come back.
