We used to like this place, and haven't visited in a couple of years. The staff is not trained at all, the experience is disorganized. The restaurant seems dirty as others said. My Wife ordered an ice tea, which had to be returned b/c it was terrible. Tasted to be days old. She elected the Horchata, which I was drinking, and was good (I believe to be pre-packaged). We started with the Guacamole Casera, which was ok, It was served in a shell that was undercooked and doughy. She ordered the seafood fajitas and I had the Bllue Burrito. The Fajitas were terrible. The Quality of seafood was aweful. The octopus was like tasteless rubber bands. The crab was imitation, and had a poor texture for imitation crab meat. The shrimp in both our dishes tasted old and were extremely tough and rubbery; the tilapia was ok, but obviuosly frozen and mushy. My burrito was served with a side salad on the same hot plate that was taken fresh from the oven; which was so hot that is caused a blistering burn on my ring finger when slid onto the table. The steak and shrimp in the burrito were very very tough. The half I ate I used a knife and fork to dissect and consume. When we were delivered our check, a lady came with a cart and asked four our plates, nothing like helping to bus your own table instead of having a conversation with your date. The cashier asked how our meal was, and we nicely explained the parts that were "very not good". After a very short summary of a long list, his reply was only "thanks for telling me". I'm not mad at the staff, the staff seem to have no training at all. I think the management is terrible. I would go to Taco Bell for a better meal and better service (and our local taco bell...
Read moreI honestly hate this place. I've gone several times because I have a family member who enjoys it so that is the only reason I keep going, but after today, I'm not sure if I can stand it anymore.
I CLEARLY and LOUDLY told them the order for myself and daughters (we were in a group) and the waitress seemed like she was writing it all down. I asked her questions about subbing sides and she said we could. We wanted cilantro and onion on the kids tacos and she literally told us we couldn't do that.
Got our food, they put cheese on the tacos I specifically said to NOT put cheese on (we are dairy free). We were completely missing sides of rice for our daughters and she literally just said "I'm sorry" over and over instead of just going and getting more rice to make it right.
Previously, the manager yelled at me for a phone order that they did wrong. He was arguing with me about how I said I wanted cheese on the tacos and I told him that I never said that because we are allergic to it. The MANAGER arguing about that!! He was huffing and rolling his eyes.
Every time I have come here, something is wrong with our order.
To top it all off, it is really bad Mexican food. The rice is good but that's it. Worst beans I've ever had. So many other better places in town, La...
Read moreToday we ate at my families favorite Mexican restaurant in town, El Arriero. I have eaten there since they opened their doors over 15 yrs ago. We go once a week.
Today I had a negative experience and I won't go back due to the attitude I received from the manager.
My son ordered two bean and cheese burritos as he does every week. However, today the portion size was that of a taco shell wrapped around beans. Mine had less than of an ounce of meat in the quesedilla, so I sent it back too.
The manager brought the food back to the table and asked what was the problem. I explained my order, I opened up the quesedilla and they had tripled the amount of meat, so I was fine. He said oh someone must have fixed it. I told him about my son's order and that they weren't burritos, they were taco rolls and to pay nearly $8 for those two taco sized bean burritos wasn't right, he said that is the way they always are. I already told him we eat there 1 a week and know better, but he handed them back to me and continued to try and argue his point.
I brought many people to that restaurant through the years, but not again. I'll find a new favorite restaurant in town. Customer...
