I used to work nearby and would stop for a frappe or a smoothie occasionally as a treat on my way home. The drive-thru staff is the worst I've ever experienced. Rhode Island is taking steps to reduce plastic pollution by only giving straws on request, but here they still try to give it to you. I've had 2 separate employees give me a staw at the same time as the beverage. If it were at least handed over separately it would be easier to decline, but they should not even be giving them out at all when not specifically requested. I always refuse straws, since I have my own reusable ones. Literally every single other drive-thru, whether it be another McDonald's, a Dunkin, or a Starbucks, has either not given me a straw (the correct thing to do) or taken it back when I said it was not needed. Here, they REFUSE to take it back. The first girl said in a very rude tone that it was due to COVID, but that is a lie, because it is a WRAPPED ITEM, so anyone touching the wrapping is not a concern, as the wrapping has to be removed anyway before use. Then a different employee refused again tonight to take the straw (that I didn't ask for!) back. I thought the first girl was just snotty, but it's not like expectations of McDonald's employees are high. Even still, both fell way below that already low bar. Seems like a manager may be instructing employees to do things incorrectly. I won't be back to this location. I'll go somewhere that has more respect for the environment. Thank goodness I don't work near this...
Read moreJust so everyone knows bald hill road has a water main break and my jobs closed because you can’t keep a store open without running water. (Washing hands etc.) but McDonald’s on bald hill however is planning to stay open and washing their hands in a sink of water they saved for everyone to use... just FYI this is whoever answered the phone today between 5-630pm told me. No running water and keeping a store open is a health code violation. Just so you know your feeding your children nasty food on in sanitized surfaces. Just know they arnt washing dishes, flushing toilets, washing hands, sanitizing any work space or utensils. Everyone will get sick. They told me they were planning on staying open even with the water main break. The manager on duty and franchisee made the decision to stay open and found making money more important then closing. And they can’t say they were in the process of it, the water main break happened at 5pm. My store was closed by 630 and I left at 7-715 and they were still serving people. Very mad about this. Makes me wonder how well they enforce normal health codes on a daily basis. Will never eat there again or have my family there. Very disappointed as this was the location I normally choose to go to when I do...
Read moreI ordered thirty plus dollars worth of food, which I feel is a lot of money for McDonald's. I asked if I could get a happy meal for my granddaughter that had a burger bun, a sausage patty, and ketchup. I was told yes. When I got home I had a burger bun and ketchup with no meat. I was also asked if it was for a boy or girl, I said girl, and received a boy toy. I also ordered a smokehouse bacon cheeseburger, which I thought came with BBQ sauce on it, and it just had a dollop of spicy mustard on it. I called and spoke to the manager who was very nice, and asked if I could come back today or another day to replace it. I went back, got the corrected sandwich for my granddaughter, with the corrected toy, and even though my sandwich was apparently not supposed to have BBQ sauce on it, the manager gave me another sandwich with BBQ sauce on it, which tasted much better, and another fry to replacy meal. It would be nice if the menu told you what came on sandwiches. But I was very satisfied with how the problem...
