Pizza King — Restaurant in Warwick

I am posting in response to negative read reviews. As an employee for 4 years now I can honestly say the food is great. Everything is made fresh daily from fresh ingredients. I don't care for the pizza myself unless I get it without grated parmesian cheese. The steak and cheese is my all time favorite and my second is a tie for the chicken cutlets and meatballs which are all made in house just like the dough. I have read reviews about poor attitudes from the cooks/servers and 99% of the time this is absolutely not true don't get me wrong everyone has a bad day and saying they are perfect would be a lie cuz Noone is but even when making 150+ pizzas a day they try to put on a smile and deliver a quality product. 1 review really bothered me because it is inaccurate. Nobody in this restaurant hates veterans NOBODY. We actually have 1 currently working with us and respect our armed forces and veterans fully. I'm guessing that he insulted, screamed or swore at someone and they do not tolerate this childish behavior and they reserve the right to refuse service to such treatment as should any place. Had an amazing experience here today for lunch. Was trying to find a place to run in and out of and they happened to have exactly 2 ready made slices left so I took em. They were both cheese so I asked them to add pepperoni to one and got a soda for their combo special. They truly showed how deserving they are of their name. The pizza was delicious, great sauce, light and crispy crust, perfect blend of cheeses and spices. The only critique I would give is that the quantity of cheese is a bit much for me but it was still delicious. If you love extra cheese you got nothing to worry about, if you don’t and you don’t mind waiting a bit for a fresh pie then just ask that they go a little lighter on the cheese (not by much though). Their customer service was phenomenal and their storefront gave me old school corner pizza place vibes. Great product, however my most recent experience was unacceptable. An order was placed at 3:15 and we were informed it would arrive 'within the hour'. Called back at 4:15 for an update and was told our order was 'the next one out the door'. Finally called back at 4:45 to cancel my order and request a refund. I was informed that the pizza was on it's way, at which point I informed them it had been 90 minutes and that was too late. Crystal informed me that the order would be refunded. I then asked if they were planning on showing some type of service recovery - I then heard a long, drawn out sigh followed by a horrible explanation of 'I'd have to send the driver back out' - to which I stopped her right there.
